Newsom is selling us out. He endorses prop 42, designed by billionaires to cancel out prop 40, the one time 5% billionaires tax, set up so 90% of its proceeds replace healthcare funding lost from Trump's BBBill's tax breaks for the rich & 10% is for food assistance or education-related programs.

I'm a CA yes on 40 vote. Please note, my governor is not a yes vote. Newsom may change his mind, but only if it gives him a better chance at the presidency. Even though he "stands up" to Orange man, he is 100% corporate. I'm hoping for a better dem candidate in 2028.

Fair question. As a CA resident, my observations are that our gov has been lacking in sustainable fiscal policies for middle and lower economic CA citizens.
