As one of the 'younger person's in question: Both of these reasons are true.
I'd consider myself pretty good at self-regulation, but I cannot say the same of my peers.

As someone learning Japanese Kanji, I also agree with the memorizing's benefits being true.
Peeps these days don't memorize as many things as they should be.

Talk about a character limit! 365 characters away from 4000!! Alt texxt is there for those that need it, which is evveryone because the entire thing doesn't evven fit on screen.

That's true, that's true.
I suppose my main gripe is just that I don't trust the titles' pronouns nearly as much as you folk seem to, and so I consider them to be 'supporting evvidence but not canon' (as I'vve said before).
The other evvidence ends up confirming some gender-related detail but doesn't confirm that he's a "they", just that something's goin' on and he's claiming his own identity.

**ASSUMING THAT THAT THE TITLE IS NOT DEFINITIVVE EVVIDENCE OF SOMEONE'S PRONOUNS,**
we're treating speculation as truth. He's definitely going through something gender-related, but as far as we know, he is still a "he" and is only referred to as a "they" once in the entire game (Asgore notwithstanding, as he doesn't know Ralsei so of course he'd say "they").

I'm not saying that he *won't* swap pronouns, but I am saying that he *hasn't* swapped pronouns.
It's not yet certain. As far as the characters in-game know, Ralsei's a guy. This is probably also why I don't really trust the titles; I just trust the character more, and the characters call Ralsei a "he".
It's like suspecting your friend to be trans when he's genuinely just an effeminate man. You wouldn't call him a "they" would you?

And, yes, I am aware of the fact that this is fiction and that we don't need to treat fictional characters like real people, but, as my mum says, "How you act at home affects how you act outside.". Many worry that this may lead to a lot of forced egg-cracking within the community, as people will get too comfortable with this behavviour and start applying these behavviours to reality (which is bad, we should givve people their space).

I'm not necessarily disputing it being evvidence, I'm just disputing people using it as *big* evvidence.

I feel like titles'd work best as *complementary* evvidence to a much more exxplicit confirmation.
Something that says "80% confirmed", this'd add to it.

(yes, i know of TransRalsei, but i can also see him taking the route of 'male princess'. super duper feminine but still male, still he/him and allat.)

...I'd say you stay off Bluesky for now, though. You seem to resent this site more and more, but if you hate it so much, stop using it. Continuing to do a 100% optional thing you hate is, in my opinion, worthless self-sabotage. Stop shooting yourself in the foot.

I find that last bit odd though. I hate stagnation, but I'd prefer to stagnate than to deal with *this*.
I know that partners who deal with abuse tend to have a hard time trusting good partners and fall back to abusive ones. What you describe sounds much like that.

You know what? I'm going to try that idea right now.

As for grammar: I always, evven when writing in personal notes or texxting my friends, write with high-quality grammar like I am right now. The main exxception is when I'm trying to convvey tone, since
"dude wtf"
has a different tone to
"Dude, what the fuck."

I do this because, when I was younger, I saw people abbrevviating evverything (especially now, with things like 'ts' and 'wth') and not capitalizing or punctuating or adding apostrophes to their sentences.
I thought to myself, "Come on, guys. Where's the effort? Where's the lovve? Where's the class?"
So I began to focus more on my grammar, evven in an informal setting.
I focused on it so much, in fact, that it became habit.
This is habit now. If I wanted to, I could avvoid doing all that, but doing so would havve to be a *conscious decision.*

And hope we can both agree when I say,
that this is peak.
