If you have a normie/slight right friend who ever mentions dropping birth rates. Let them know it's because we have cratered the rate of child pregnancy in this country. The rate is up for mother's 25+ years of age. Birth rate is fine, the concern is a christo fascist obsession with child brides.

A chart from national vital statistics reports vol 74 no. 3, March 6, 2025. It shows that since 1990 the birth rate for mothers under 20 years of age has dropped from 14% to 4%. 20-24 years of age dropped from 26% to 16%. 25-29 years has remained stable. 30-34 years has increased from 21% to 31%. 35-38 years from 7% to 17%. 40+ years from 1% to 4%

Rough counts, but I wanted to do a bit more of a dive on this data as I keep seeing people say stupid crap that boils down to 'let X secede, the union doesn't need them'. If you live in a union state, maybe figure out the 30.6m in your own backyard before shitting on the south.

In 2020 more Floridians and Texans voted for Biden than any other state but California. Obv Biden vote =\= progressive and pop size plays a role, but it's pretty clear that anyone who is okay shitting on the south politically is either ignorant of gerrymandering or willfully malicious.

A table of 2020 presidential votes by state from Wikipedia sorted by votes for Biden. The first 5 states in order are California with 11.1 million, Florida with 5.3, Texas with 5.3, New York with 5.2, and Illinois with 3.5. of these Florida and Texas are often derided for their regressive politics with the blame placed on their citizens.

This is our cat Baguette who was very scared and anxious when we adopted her. She didn't eat or drink her first week in the house and we had to take her to the vet to get fluids. She did not leave our spare bedroom for the first month. Two years later she falls asleep on the couch with my husband.
