That’s a good buddy. Now you can ‘sink a couple ships’ to celebrate a win! Schooner is in the midst of a comeback in the Maritimes. It’s a classic easy drinking lager meant to be drank by the case. A session ale before anyone know what that meant!

But even if you haven't heard the song, you have now heard of it. Semantics, but that's what the article actually says.

If someone had some pull in the local music scene (hint, hint) they should be lobbying for all of these artists and more doing another, bigger than ever, local version of the Last Waltz for the 50th anniversary this November.

From who though? If someone was actually ready they'd already have his spot. I get the sentiment but he scored big goals in the playoffs last year, we know he's got it in him.

Saw Graeme Nash in the flesh last night at Harvest Music Festival so this seemed like a good Sunday morning spin. Pretty cool to be at the show with my mom singing Teach Your Children. This album and Deja Vu were definitely soundtracks of my youth. #nowspinning

Coaching this afternoon so getting fired up with the best pre-game band there is. Hells Bells would be my walk up song if I was in any way intimidating 😂 Who Mad Who was a compilation, so includes both Brian Johnson and Bob Scott, and was the official soundtrack for Maximum Overdrive. #nowspinning

As a follow up - Mark Bingham acted heroically that day and became an icon in both the rugby and LGBTQ+ communities (and the LGBTQ+ Rugby Community). There is a international gay rugby competition - The Bingham Cup - binghamcup2026.com/about - named in his honour. #binghamcup

I sought out his name and paid my respects upon a visit to the 9/11 Memorial a few years ago. He did what you hope you would do if shit goes down. All the respect to him.

I left over a year ago and have never looked back. Definitely less stress because of it. You’ll be happier here and probably better informed, or at least more accurately informed, overall.

#Nowspinning the soundtrack to the 1972 movie The Harder They Come featuring Jimmy Cliff. It was a record store score last week and I was so happy to find it. Just a killer album full of a wide ranging hits. The title track and Sitting in Limbo are a couple highlights but it’s all gold. #vinylsky

Prank answer - tell them to wear what they wear at a Stampede concert. It’d be a great conversation piece 😀 Real answer - layers are key due to the September weather range. Canadian layers - denim or plaid - will have them fitting right in.

You’ll be totally fine. Maritimers are still hospitable to tourists regardless of plates You won’t be treated like an asshole unless you’re acting like an asshole. And if you’re really worried about the plates put a Habs plate frame or bumper sticker on ;)

To tilt the lens a bit; we now have almost 50 years of hip hop. If you asked me the best era for hip hop I would absolutely say the stuff around my 18-20 years. NWA, Snoop, Dre. But no way I could argue that was rock’s greatest era.

Born in the 70s but 18 in the early 90s. There was a good rock renaissance around then but it pales in comparison so the 70s which is, kind of inarguably, the best decade for rock music so far.

Sad to have missed Matt Mays last night in Perth-Andover but just couldn’t rally after a week’s vacation and road trip home. So instead of seeing him live I’ve got his epic 2nd album Matt Mays + El Torpedo #nowspinning on a Sunday morning. Top 10 Canadian album of this millennium for me ;)

So many good things about the city and the organization that is drawing players to the Canadiens. The media continues to make every effort to be the only drawback. I legit thought you were writing this about yourself until I re-read and saw that you were referring to players.

But I still feel like it could have gone longer. When Portugal scored in extra time they celebrated for what felt like 5 minutes with the clock running…It feels like at least 3 minutes needs to be added for every goal scored.

Well you clearly misunderstood what I said. And you’re the one fighting with Sabres fans about this so I’d look in the mirror before telling me to get a life. You’re the kind of Habs fan that give our fanbase a bad name. Have a good one.

Simon Pacey @paceonearth.bsky.social · 25/06/2026
Learn to read. I said I barely follow Habs media outside of a couple guys. I follow tons of other media and they are all raving about the Bryan deal for the Sabres and feel they got something for Tuch when he was likely leaving anyhow.

Simon Pacey @paceonearth.bsky.social · 25/06/2026
I’m a Habs fan but the general consensus of overall hockey media is that deals were great for the Sabres. I find most Habs media to be insufferable so don’t follow much beyond maybe Basu and Wilde. Is it Habs media that is crushing the Sabres? Because I’m not seeing it elsewhere…
