15y ago today I was just starting to work on Sintel, amazed by this "new way of lighting" by bouncing light off surfaces (!), mindblowing for any Blenderhead at the time. That was the addition of irradiance cache to Blender Internal, it never got merged but it sparked its replacement: Cycles 🧡 #b3d

That add-on should just be in core. It’s ridiculous that you need an add-on for copy pasting anything that’s not an object or single values. Someone needs to do a code style pass to it to align to the guidelines, and make a PR. I’d support it immediately.
