Nice to see @andrewhickey.500songs.com posting about the Bee Gees. They were immense. And this, the last single, from the last studio album. What a way to bow out. youtu.be/5a95WRSWvHA?...

"They were up on the hill Making wings from the everdream Singing songs of the wind. They were writing the words In the pages of history Never saw of again" Bless him. The waterworks, oh, the waterworks.

An exceptional record, an album of the year. It's so understated & graceful.

I like the new mix, drums appear more crisp & the bass seems warmer and higher in the mix plus the sessions & demo disc is fab. The book looks amazing, each tune gets an essay. Will delve into that soon.

#new2me26 The Genesis - A Story By The Genesis This is amazing. An unreleased (very) English concept album from 1969. Really hoping that @dimorphodons.bsky.social can chip in with the full mad story. It's very much in the S.F. Sorrow neck of the woods and deserves so much love.

From my research, the City Hall(great venue) ceiling couldn't take the weight of the lighting rig, so the gig was cancelled. Brian's dad's tour map....

Ah, the Queen "British" tour that was to kick off in Cork..... The gig that never was.

Yeah, sometimes it's just someone and their dog, & sometimes they've gone for a walk. And that's fine.

"The deeper he dug, the better it got. Taylor isn’t in the business of flogging hits – although he’s written plenty of them – he’s selling connection. This was a celebration of togetherness...." Nailed it, thank you Torygraph scribe, & thank you paywall remover. You're not getting a penny from me.

I believe we carry around our younger selves, thank you, therapy. Anyway, last night was for young Pete, the nervous & anxious teenager. He's in my heart and soul, and he is safe. When Roger walked on to the strains of "Hoppípolla", the tears fell, & the scene was set. An extraordinary evening.

Yeah, I earmarked over 1000 cds 2 years ago, they're still in the guest room. I looked at all the shite you have to go through to sell the fuckers and gave up.
