I'll make a 4page comic now, it's after Bonebreaker chap1 but it's filler and I'm doing it on a whim #wip #comic

man, Aruna's so cute when he's not being an obsessive ghost haunting the coastline and tempting his only friend into stagnant pseudo-childhood, endangering said friend's younger sister and her friendgroup in the process #wip

mi espalda...🦐 @p0nemo.bsky.social · 30/01/2026

Aruna was the ghost of a child whose corpse Claudio found and befriended, but was left behind because Claudio had to become an adult (raise Mani). Desperate, a god granted his wish to experience adulthood and started haunting Claudio

this could become a drinking game

I could make it a dominican seagull or an inca tern, at this point it's a tossup #OC #comic #WIP

Mani's looks considerably cuter in her finished drawings than in her sketches; also, that oral cavity is diabolical #OC #WIP #comic

hope this weekend is kind to me and lets me finish the whole comic in one seating (it's saturday). I could try and put the dialogue in the alt text too, but Nino's a huge chatterbox after all #OC #Comic #WIP

NINO: For all's worth, havin' a scholar here is an honor. Most here might not think so, but to me, it's far more exceptional than sea monsters! So then, see ya, partner

i like how this one's turning out, I'll revisit the other vignettes' backgrounds when all the chapter is done

000

mi espalda...🦐 @p0nemo.bsky.social · 12/01/2026

Mani has a lame leg, so her posture is important

i thought i would give up after the second page, but everything's coming along nicely. If the script stays the same this will be around 10 pages #art #oc #wip #comic

Mani is (a bit) besotted with Nino, and yet has no idea he's being intentionally charming #sketch

here's some toxic switcheroo (not doomed) yuri in the meanwhile #art #oc #illustration

for Mani it's just normal amber eyes, but she's no human so they also have a tapetum lucidum. for Nino they're teal, but he's a reanimated underwater corpse, so his pupils are always dilated.

020

mi espalda...🦐 @p0nemo.bsky.social · 25/12/2025

these are elementary school outfits from where I live. While I prefer cold fmc and trickster ml I can't have her be indifferent; Mani may not understand Nino or look at his face, but squeezes his hand and never lets go #ocart

mi espalda...🦐 @p0nemo.bsky.social · 25/12/2025

not quite the same, but manino will eventually sign a civil union contract. Since Nino isn't a living creature Mani won't have children as long as they stay together, but they'll never be lonely
