i resonate so heavily with the concept of loving someone so much you wanna get your shit together or having the patience to let them get their shit together before you jump headfirst into a sloppy premature relationship. sometimes the most loving thing you can do is just let people go be who they need to be

like u do have to think more clearly about the story, the purpose of lara’s arc, and what the narrative was trying to say in order to see why it ended the way it did and I do think it’s a fitting ending when u take it all into account even if I did want more of certain things

even if we got a bunch of flashbacks abt lara’s sisters or went on adventures with Side Character of the Week while laramari ignore their feelings, how would 12 extra eps of that benefited the story lol. I think we’re just kinda overestimating the amount of ancillary info something needs to be good

I agree that sayolara could’ve used 2-3 more eps to flesh some things out more but I don’t understand the conviction everyone has that this show would’ve been better with 24 eps. ok then luca/lara would have been dragged out longer, people woulda called it yuribait, then dropped it halfway through 😭
