o x u s ☆ @oxus.bsky.social · 24/11/20245(Final). It also means flesh! Which ties to fleshy desires and temptations he mentioned on this album verbatim or has been a theme in other albums. All in all I think him using “Carnated” symbolized him being humbled back in too humanity after his ego took over. Hyped to see the way this develops 000
o x u s ☆ @oxus.bsky.social · 24/11/20244. Carnations are also colloquially equated to the more feminine lens of things. Which I think is noteworthy due to Kendrick saying that’s the side of things or energy he’s been working on being more mindful of. 100
o x u s ☆ @oxus.bsky.social · 24/11/20243. If we add what he’s said about humanity being beautiful and running with him intentionally using the word “carnate” leads to: “carnation”. It could be ability to be be beautiful, bloom, and transform. “Incarnate” Being in union with Christ or the Divine. Having a Rich spirit. 100
o x u s ☆ @oxus.bsky.social · 23/11/20242. Having, experiencing, and creating trauma or “pain bodies” as Eckhart puts it on MMTBS 100
o x u s ☆ @oxus.bsky.social · 23/11/2024For ease and speed this format will be a list containing all of the concept engravings of the word he’s made/I can find🤷🏾♂️ Human/Human according to Dot. 1. Having a human body. You can try to do right and should but can’t escape Having imperfections. So love and find beauty in your flawed self. 100
o x u s ☆ @oxus.bsky.social · 23/11/2024So I searched up “Carnated definition.” Plugging this into the metaphorical Laguange model Kendrick has given us, this is nothing less than HUGE for understanding this song and his building one word theme “Human Being” which aids in understanding his music better as whole. Il break it down below 100
o x u s ☆ @oxus.bsky.social · 23/11/2024NOW as I’m replaying the new album I get to “Reincarnated”. And I start wondering: 1. why Kendrick had used the word “Carnated” instead on the last verse. 2. What does carnated mean, and is it an academically accepted word? So I googled. Way. Mannn what I found is the reason I’ve been manic. 100
o x u s ☆ @oxus.bsky.social · 23/11/2024(It’s my favorite in part because I correctly predicted it’d be a song featuredon mr morale.) 100
o x u s ☆ @oxus.bsky.social · 23/11/2024My personal favorite example of this is Kendrick’s use of the word “Mirror”. It was beginning to be used more and more often in his music and was being used in songs central to the core ideas of his catalog. This culminated into the song titled Mirror on mmtbs. And got built upon further in the beef 100
o x u s ☆ @oxus.bsky.social · 23/11/2024Dot will use a key word multiple times in the same context, so you can understand that when he says that word he’s also referring to said context. This concept engraving into these words can then be added upon in the future and sometimes flourish into full songs. BUT they never regress in context 100
o x u s ☆ @oxus.bsky.social · 23/11/2024smh Kendrick got me theory crafting at work…if you wanna see what I’ve been cooking up…and what I’ve just discovered about Kendrick’s Language because of it. Then please, check the 🧵 below, and enjoy 😎 : 110
o x u s ☆ @oxus.bsky.social · 23/11/2024Rode around town to it with them windows downnnn last night. It sure do 010
o x u s ☆ @oxus.bsky.social · 23/11/2024This narrative did not just start now, and has been building for so long throughought his entire catalog. Will probably have more coherent thoughts later, but I hope this can a morsel for thought whether you’re a newer K dot listener or been locked in. Peace ✌🏾 000
o x u s ☆ @oxus.bsky.social · 23/11/2024And do NOT overlook song titles…My theory, Kendrick is crafting a narrative of both of his sides. And making many parallels. fallen angels, Luther, man in Garden??? And he’s giving us just enough (a lot imo) to follow along with the story of which one will win out. And the struggle it and it’s been. 100
