Speaking of Giulietta Masina. The next project is to track this one down.

This will also be the first time I have seen these films in HD. Have had them on Blu-ray for some time but waited until the moment felt right. Big fan of both but always like to leave a few years between rewatches as Fellini, I feel, always looks at his best with the freshest of eyes.

Blu ray editions of La strada and Nights of Cabiria.

Seen this question posed on Reddit. Would also like this to happen!

What is the likelihood that some of the Gainsborough Melodramas will be released on Blu-Ray?

Would anyone here be able to confirm on English-friendly options throughout for this please? #FilmSky

The fella behind Takeshi's Castle goes the full Maurizio Merli in his directorial debut, Violent Cop. The film is brutal! And brilliant!

The box says there are English subtitles—but I'm not sure if that info is correct. Would love to get confirmation from someone who has bought this. Does anyone here have a copy?

Booked seats at the Everyman Cinema in Cardiff. Gonna see Effi O Blaenau. Film is based on the play Iphigenia in Splott and directed by Marc Evans (House of America, My Little Eye). #FilmSly

So, yesterday morning I concluded the first half of this Joan of Arc two-parter. It was excellent. The best cinematic version? Probably not! But given that it is a subject tackled by some of film's finest auteurs, it was always such a high bar. There's Renée Jeanne Falconetti and Dreyer for a start—

Our equivalent would be the New English Library. But they are now so collectable. This one—about crocodiles in the New York sewers—an example of this nature amok horror type thing that they churned out.

Retro futurist overload set in a very pop art, sixties looking, Crepax-esque 2000s with inflatable furniture and doors that go whoosh. Love stuff like this!

Really enjoyed this. A sassy, beautifully written, indie sci-fi chamber piece. A scene stealing Carmen Borla is fabulous here—in her supporting, antagonist, role. Everyone is great though. Recommended. #Filmsky

Getting the urge to revisit this aspect of a misspent valleys childhood. An occasional trip to Cardiff always meant the chance to hit the newsstands—used to be a sucker for pulpy horror paperbacks!
