How are researchers in @obu-hst-research.bsky.social and charity Think Through Nutrition working together to improve the diets of people in prisons? Read about their Knowledge Transfer Partnership project here: www.oahp.org.uk/case-studies...
The collaboration with Oxford Brookes University has been instrumental in strengthening and scaling this work. It’s rare to see a digital platform like this operating within the prison estate and reaching thousands of people in custody, alongside many more in community settings.

The UK's first hospital-level liver disease service delivered at home. Dr Tasmin Cargill at Oxford is bringing specialist hepatology directly to patients - diagnosis, treatment, and all. A glimpse at what community care can look like. @ndm.ox.ac.uk 🔗 www.oahp.org.uk/case-studies...
Collaboration between academia and healthcare has been key to the success of the project.

Hepatology at Home
Patient-centred liver care beyond the hospital
It allows care to be completely patient-centred. The patients we refer to the service want to be treated at home, and while readmission and mortality often aren’t preventable in advanced liver disease, we enable people to spend less time in hospital. Dr Tasmin Cargill

New Q&A with OAHP Chair Prof Sir Jonathan Montgomery 🔍 He shares why Oxford’s mix of research + clinical expertise matters, and how centres of excellence can support NHS transformation and deliver national impact. Read more: www.oahp.org.uk/blog/qa-with... #OAHP #AcademicHealthScience
There’s been a national tendency to spread research activity thinly, in the name of levelling up, but the reality is that places like Oxford have unique strengths that can’t easily be replicated. For Oxford, this comes with a responsibility to be a beacon for robust science, and by doing that well here we can show it’s possible to maximise the impact of high-quality research elsewhere.
