I am trying. I don't want to abandon this fic. I've come too far; the ending is so close! If only life would settle down for a little bit.

Needless to say, I haven't been writing. I'm sorry. I just can't get into the right headspace. I feel so bad for abandoning my stories and my readers. Sometimes, I wish I'd never started writing DFtBBW, so I wouldn't have to carry all of this guilt. 😭

Life has been difficult the last few months. Beginning at the end of November and continuing to the present day, it's been one hit after another. Actually, it's been multiple hits consecutively. Of course, the state of American politics doesn't help.

[MOODBOARD - We Grow Like Ivy] JK is an out-of-college apprentice desperate for work now that his scholarship money is gone. He answers a Help Wanted ad at the flower shop across the street, thinking it'd be an easy gig. It's not.

There are only five chapters of DFtBBW left. After I finally finish the story, I think that may be it for me for fic writing. Maybe for writing in general. My heart isn't in it anymore.

One small way in which this election and its results affected me is this: I had finally got back some of my motivation and inspiration for art and writing. Now, it's gone again. I hate this so much.
