A dozen banana slugs for you today 🤗💛 Which one is your favourite?? This is part of a much larger passion project I’m working on, to illustrate as many colour variations of the Pacific Banana Slug as I can!! (within reason, obviously)

2. Hermissenda crassicornis I usually call them Opalescent Nudibranchs - but since several species share that name, they are also known as Thick-Horned Nudibranchs. Aren’t they lovely 🥹🥹🥹

Hello, BlueSky! I’m Alena, I like slugs! I make slug art and sell sluggy nifty-gifties! That’s the elevator pitch 😂

An illustrated poster of 10 different sea slugs from the west coast of North America, in different shapes and rainbow colours, over a blue background.

A photo of green socks with pink hearts and yellow banana slugs with black spots

A photo of two stickers. The top one shows a yellow banana slug with text that reads “Weird Is Wonderful.” The bottom one shows a green pacific chorus frog with text that reads “This Frog Is Proud of You.”

8 different enamel pins are displayed on Alena’s hand. The pins are of a Belted Kingfisher, Bull Kelp, Leaf Sheep Sea Slug, Pacific Banana Slug, Pacific Sideband Snail, Sea Bunny Nudibranch, California Banana Slug, and an Opalescent Nudibranch.
