Having a stressful day. My oldest kitty (16) has a UTI. Vet visit accomplished and meds given. But Mama is stressed! My boys and my hubby are everything!

It’s Founder’s Day in my little town. Can hear the band from my house playing Jumping Jack Flash. Having seen The Stones over 10 times, it reminds me of my long held belief that bands should never try and play The Stones.

It’s my Dad’s birthday today… he passed away in 2009. He would be 94 today… still miss him.

So we’re getting ready for guests arriving tomorrow and of course our internet goes down today… in addition to everything else, Hubby had to go get a new modem. It’s always something 🤦🏽‍♀️

Billionaire grifters are about to dismantle your government. So instead of your tax dollars going to your Medicare or your Medicaid or your affordable care act or to veterans benefits or your social security - it will go to THEM in the form of tax cuts for the wealthy.

I live in a place where sea turtles nest in large numbers. Given all the craziness I thought I’d post one of my favorite photos from a prior nesting season. It’s just a reminder that life can still be beautiful.

Newly hatched leatherback sea turtle heading into the ocean at sunrise.

Morning friends. I'm so happy to be here w/you all on Bluesky. Let's focus on the points of light while we acknowledge the coming Trump darkness. Let's support & feed the points of light so that they grow stronger. We really are all in this together. And that's how we'll win. Together.
