SkyeNet @oversky.net.nz · 02/10/2026Making a pixel sorting program. And then an API for the pixel sorter. And then a website for the API for the pixel sorter 010
SkyeNet @oversky.net.nz · 29/09/2026Thanks for the explanation, the tradeoff makes more sense now. Maybe requiring people to register & confirm their addresses soon before the election would mitigate but I imagine it would make turnout even worse. 70% choosing not to vote is a really horrifying stat 110
SkyeNet @oversky.net.nz · 28/09/2026Do you think there's a way to safeguard the postal voting against the kinds of fraud we saw last election? I find it more convenient personally as a voter. 101
SkyeNet @oversky.net.nz · 26/09/2026RSS is such an underrated internet tech! I've been using thunderbird but it doesn't sync across devices so I might give your other recs a look. 100
SkyeNet @oversky.net.nz · 25/08/2026I've definitely seen that concept applied to fellatio and the like. nothing can curb the innovative spirit of porn artists 020
SkyeNet @oversky.net.nz · 18/08/2026The original bridge won't last forever, If we're going to spend the money then we should get something cool to replace it. 000
SkyeNet @oversky.net.nz · 09/08/2026A significant part of mine was peeling off layers of wallpaper so the walls could be painted. The circle of life is so beautiful 000
SkyeNet @oversky.net.nz · 08/08/2026It was really cool! I accidentally went at a really busy time, it was shoulder to shoulder in there. 010
SkyeNet @oversky.net.nz · 06/08/2026I've had a fer pharmacists look at my doctors prescription and write back saying "absolutely do not do that" 010
SkyeNet @oversky.net.nz · 11/07/2026Technically yes but the storage and power requirements for serving webpages, tweets, small photos and the such is pretty minimal. Otherwise it wouldn't really have been practical in the early 00's 010
SkyeNet @oversky.net.nz · 06/07/2026Heard about this earlier in the year from this YouTube video youtu.be/Up0LNTMPnjI?... Super excited to see the mission underway!youtu.bePegasus to the Rescue: 'The Edge of Feasibility'YouTube video by Alexander the ok 000

SkyeNet @oversky.net.nz · 03/06/2026really cool! what are you using for OCR and controlling the plotter? 100
SkyeNet @oversky.net.nz · 26/05/2026I'm aware of it but it's somehow never happened to one of my phones even with a few years of use. 010
SkyeNet @oversky.net.nz · 24/05/2026just read the whole comic and I'm obsessed. six seasons and a movie please 000
SkyeNet @oversky.net.nz · 16/05/2026Is this a common 15yo experience? I also did this when I was 15, on holiday with no Internet connection. 000
SkyeNet @oversky.net.nz · 13/05/2026I feel like people are missing perspective on how much a gigawatt really is. Right now the entire city of Auckland (where I'm writing this from) is consuming only 0.89GW. www.transpower.co.nz/system-opera...transpower.co.nzLive load dataLive load data for each of our operational zones across the country. 070
SkyeNet @oversky.net.nz · 06/05/2026been waiting for this album! the singles get played a lot on student radio in Auckland 010
SkyeNet @oversky.net.nz · 02/05/2026I was the same until recently when I realized "huh I could buy a car with all this petrol money" 000
SkyeNet @oversky.net.nz · 28/04/2026consistently so, it's impressive. every time I click the random button there's sometime interesting or funny happening. 010

SkyeNet @oversky.net.nz · 15/04/2026ah that explains it! I was wondering why any company would play the same ad to the same person hundreds of times. 000
SkyeNet @oversky.net.nz · 15/04/2026Running a business and not thinking about podcasting? Think again. More Americans listen to podcasts than ad-supportd streaming music from Spotify and Pandora, and as the largest podcaster, I heart is twice as large as the nearest two competitors combined. So whatever your customers listen on, they' 120
SkyeNet @oversky.net.nz · 11/04/2026amazing! do you know what these puffs are shortly before splashdown? they didn't have time to mention it in the broadcast 370
SkyeNet @oversky.net.nz · 29/03/2026I agree with you on this one. The best uses I've found for the chatbots are one-off tedious tasks that don't require much thinking. Things like updating typescript interfaces on the client to match changes on an API. If I'm thinking "really, this again?" I'll probably offload it. 020
SkyeNet @oversky.net.nz · 29/03/2026" If I have gained anything in this process, it has been in the toil that followed inspiration. " This describes my hesitancy around AI in the workplace quite well. I am concerned that allowing myself the easy way out too often will hamper my learning. What is the point of work without learning? 110
SkyeNet @oversky.net.nz · 22/03/2026been there. sometimes the world collapses in so suddenly and completely that the things that worked before feel useless 001
SkyeNet @oversky.net.nz · 22/03/2026ah thank you! I remember reading Dresden Codak years ago but I haven't been able to remember the name. 120
SkyeNet @oversky.net.nz · 22/03/2026I think the friction and effort is essential. When I'm reading papers to research and learn I get coworkers questioning why I don't just have an AI "deep research" it and tell me the answers. Maybe I actually want this information to sink in, Jason. Go play with your chatbot. 021
