2/2 Here's Phobos, with Saturn (natural size 1x) in the background by @science.esa.int Mars Express Full size: flic.kr/p/2sFs2yu 🧪🔭 Credit: ESA/DLR/FUBerlin/AndreaLuck CC BY
The potato shaped moon of Mars, Phobos, as seen by ESA’s Mars Express. Its grey, covered on craters, 2 enormous ones that occupy nearly a third of the visible side, along with long grooves etched into the terrain. In the background, a tiny far away Saturn appears in a yellowish, colourised view, adding contrast without exaggerating the planet’s size.

is there not going to be one for Mando and Grogu? My preorder for the audiobook was cancelled and there's no new listing... well, not sure if that's you or a different publisher since it's a junior novelization, but guessing there isn't going to be a regular/adult one at all?

Ribbons and pearls 🎀 Ribbons of gas & dust wrap around the pearly centre of the galaxy NGC 1398.  NGC 1398’s spiral arms do not begin at its very middle, but stem from a straight bar instead. How many spiral galaxies share this feature? Find out: www.eso.org/public/images/potw1801a 🔭

Saturn sits near the center of the image. The layers of different colored atmosphere are clear. Its large rings are tilted with respect to the image's horizontal axis. The gaps and spokes within the rings are clear. A few of Saturn's moons show up as faint dots surrounding the planet.

NEW: The contrasting colors in NGC 7129 show differences in temperatures detected by #NASAWebb. The gold cavity at the left is hottest due to the central star and other embedded stars. The clumpy, red matter is colder and represents jets from less mature protostars: news.stsci.edu/3U8T7Bz 🔭
A young star cluster filled with many stars that display the Webb Telescope’s unique eight-pronged diffraction pattern. At its center is a yellow star, which sports the largest diffraction pattern. To the left of the star, there is a region filled with yellow dust and gas that extends from the star to the left border. This yellow region extends from the bottom, covering about two-thirds of the image. The yellow region has several blue stars of different sizes embedded within. The top third, which lies outside of the yellow region, holds a few bright protostars, within dense gray gas. Those stars illuminate the gas, making it appear blue. A few red outflows from other protostars are visible above this grayish-blue region. To the right of the central star, there is a clumpy, flame-like plume of red dust and gas with protostars that emit a soft white light within. The plume is surrounded by more dense gray gas and dust. There are several background galaxies strewn throughout the image/

if the timing is right and the story allows for it, it certainly can be possible; but a galaxy's big, and means lots of different stories, so it certainly doesn't need for her to be in it or even mentioned. (and no, I'm not a betting person, so not even staking any vibes on it! LOLOL)

yeah, that was the thing I was thinking about when I saw the clip - if this was actually true, who gives a crap what they do in their own home on their own time - as long as they know how to fly the plane and get from point a to b safely. Then I started to wonder who told him this stuff, because: 🤪

while I can see why it feels like Natalie (I thought it was her earlier too), but now with the blow up, it feels less like her, and more to fix Monica Crowley's wind blown hair and wrinkles. In any case, this whole thing is nutty.

While I had the Atari 2600 and those games... I think I have to go with a few years later in 8th grade on the Apple 2E - and both Carmen Sandiego & Oregon Trail. Because in the 90s once I got my first real computer, definitely got those games... and still play them on the emulator today. :)

had to read it outloud because I'm half asleep & didn't think I was reading what I was reading... so, forgetting that I can't picture how this will look/work at all... you're letting the whole world know where you're keeping the weapons & ammo so they can either break in or destroy it. Good idea!🤪

once I saw the stuff about tearing down the sets and auctions for the props, it just felt like they were saying no more Trek - okay, fine, you cancel one show, but you certainly can reuse the stuff for another, saves money that way. But if you get rid of it all... so this, not much of a surprise.

well, it might be as long as it actually does include this administration, and not a type of, "oh, didn't know they were doing that behind my back - I'd never take money for a pardon" kind of thing from Trump and all... because how in the world did they get this story past Bari over there...?

well, if he didn't have his stupid convention the past two days (or more specifically, didn't show up on both days), he could have slept at a normal time instead of speaking at 10ish, arriving back in DC at 2am-ish, and then go here now. But he's perfect and god after all, so nah, don't need that.

that might be the idea of life-as long as there's people, there will always be light & dark/ying & yang - the pendulum will always go back & forth, but just never want too much one way or another. Never easy to deal with, or see as it's going on, but it's the neverending quest we must deal with.

given I didn't see any video yesterday, just assumed we were spared from any q&a periods from the tarmac, do we know if this is real? Did they at like it says AFP at Getty do any photoshop on the pic or their AI (if any) went berserk or something? Seems pretty drastic for Trump to do to me.
