He told Luke Russert he could go ahead and vaccinate his 10-wk old baby for measles if he wants to, and did not comprehend that NO PEDIATRICIAN will vaccinate a 10-wk old baby for MMR. A multitude of Robins came to the yard for their daily Bath Wars, and they brought a Downy Woodpecker with them! Downy abandoned the battle zone. 🪶

A small black and white woodpecker perched in the shade on a maple tree. Several restaurants in my area are already countering this by requiring a credit card to reserve, and if you don't show, they charge a hefty fee. Also, I would be thrilled by the return of human-staffed box offices. Sometimes you wanna just walk up and buy a bleacher seat the old fashioned way!

Warm Days, Chilly Nights Season has arrived in the Cascades. 🍁🌱

A native huckleberry shrub gone full crimson. It's sitting on the edge of a narrow trail growing among evergreen Oregon Boxwood, which retain thick, leathery, shiny emerald green leaves year round.

Oregon Grape, Boxwood, and salal growing low to the ground. The Oregon Grape leaves are turning a vibrant red.

Vine Maple leaves mostly turned bright red, except for one which retains a little yellow green in half of the leaf, set against a backdrop of evergreen trees.

Americans who get paid vacation generally get only 2 weeks per year. If we want to take a vacation or visit family across the country, it's not like we have any choice but to pay the fare. Our options are limited and at least equally as expensive! They have us over a barrel and they know it.
