I'll be be shocked if Trump doesn't order the US military to attack Ukraine. He hates Zelenskyy. He loves Putin. He'd probably jump on any excuse to attack a European country. And as the end of his presidency approaches, I imagine he's going to want to do as much damage as possible before he's out.

As a child (and probably as a young adult), I fully believed that only geniuses and exceptionally talented people can become scientists. This is, of course, not true. In order to be a scientist, you need to be curious. Because curiosity is what gives you the drive to study and learn things.

But, like, when I was a kid (1990s / 2000s), heading home from the town centre in the winter, I would regularly take a shortcut and WALK 220 METRES (240 yards) ACROSS SEA ICE, which saved me from having to walk a full kilometre (0.6 miles) around the bay. That bay no longer freezes like that.

Justice answers to politics. Politicians treat it like a soap opera. The people are told that this is the best and most just system anywhere in the world. But also the president is a felon and an insurrectionist. And zero Americans have been charged with Epstein-related crimes. It's baffling.

Hearings like this are just the tip of the iceberg. Politics is completely interwoven into the US justice system. Federal judges are political appointees. Some courts are known to be "liberal courts," others are known to be "conservative courts." FBI and DOJ leadership are political appointees.
