I am watching someone play Silent Hill: Townfall and I gotta say... As someone who writes occasional scenes of medical horror... the medical horror is appreciated. Possum happy.

Mr. Harrow directs Andrea's meals, so she always has the same thing if she is around him: medium roast coffee with milk, a half teaspoon of chocolate syrup, half teaspoon of caramel syrup, and two teaspoons of sugar paired with two eggs (sunny side up), a slice of whole grain (buttered) toast,

I want to be optimistic, but I'm aware I'll feel like a fool if I allow myself to get attached to any of the aspects I'm enjoying. It's a frustrating thing to be a reader in a time when one feels they might be punished for interacting with literature as something deeper.

Putting the writing issues aside, this is a world setting that, with the right effort and embellishment, could be something really special. Four chapters in, I can see a lot that could be really good. However, I think we're also about to be taken away from the really good part.

First impressions: Holy passive voice, Batman. The way this is written makes me want to skip paragraphs. I don't skip paragraphs, I don't like skipping paragraphs, I like to let my brain digest and process each word and sentence. ...This is gonna be a long one. Also, "I sighed through my nose."

So I'm gonna start a thread here to put down my thoughts as I read through a book (expect this to grow as the weeks pass as I am not a fast reader, we're looking at one-ish chapter a day) and hopefully then render the thoughts into a video in future.

Romantically, most gender identities are appealing. I say 'most' because it's impossible for me to know all. And, again, I'm no longer in the dating pool, but I'd consider myself bisexual/panromantic if that makes sense?

021

OutermostGhost (Ghostie) 👻🔺 @outermostghost.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

I use 'bi' because it was the term I learned first and because I'm not in the dating pool I don't see a reason to update it. To me it's also the 'sexual' part. Any set of (consenting adult) human genitalia is good, surgically altered or no. But maybe I'm just uninformed.
