Welcome to our first devlog! Don't touch that dial, because we're about to broadcast some seriously cool updates—no static, just pure game dev goodness!

We are excited to announce our first single-player RPG title, Our Town, is under deep production for a demo! What started out as a college semester project is now coming to PC (more on that soon!)

Planned for release on October 24, 2024, stop by our lovely Diner to get a taste of what our full game will look like. Jump into the action– where you’ll find things that may not be what they seem.

Discover, write, deliver. Players will take up the role of Our Town’s newspaper delivery person. Experience delivering papers, chatting with residents, solving a mystery, and writing the daily paper. Through making choices at events and in writing the paper, branching storylines are a staple for an investigative mystery like this one.

We at Fish Truck Studios are working hard to make all of this possible! Expressive character art, 2D Point-and-Click backgrounds, character models, and our entire town map are all being updated to better player experience.

We also have a deduction system being implemented. This system has gone through many iterations, but we decided to opt for a more “player-led” experience in order to build the mystery's involvement and for the player's choices to bear higher consequences on the story.

Stay tuned for more - we plan to have many more updates detailing our progress.
