Private equity has exploded from managing less than $1 trillion in 2004 to over $13 trillion today. They now control companies employing over 13 million workers. We know ultra-wealthy executives won't change on their own. That's why we need #SWSLA

For years, private equity firms have treated our economy like a rigged casino —loading companies with debt, stripping them of assets, and walking away with massive profits while workers and communities suffer. The Stop Wall Street Looting Act will change that. #SWSLA

The Stop Wall Street Looting Act of 2026 (#SWSLA) would curb Wall Street's predatory practices and help build an economy that works for everyone.

If enacted, H.R. 10184 would severely limit the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s ability to hold big banks and tech companies accountable and to protect people from unfair, predatory, and discriminatory financial practices.

The so-called CLARITY Act is fatally flawed. It contains weak or nonexistent consumer protections, gaps in illicit finance rules, huge exemptions, and lax oversight. If the bill passes, the industry's predatory business model could be locked in for a generation.

The CLARITY Act is bad from the start - it leaves crypto consumers w/ less protection and more risk, and contains loopholes gutting protections for all investors, even if they never touch crypto.
