All I can hear looking at this picture is the electric guitar wail from Space:1999 and I find that awesome.

It is a picture of the grey and crater covered surface of the moon, the curvature of it taking up 2/3rds of the picture. Nestled on the edge of the moon is the Earth, a blue and white crescent. Between the two, the deep black of space.

How big a nerd am I? I spent three hours yesterday while my wife was out converting this map from second edition Gamma World, into a political map showing all the factions. There is a very good chance, I’ll never use it in a gaming setting, but I did it happily and I tell you I’d do it again. 🤓

#Torg:Eternity doesn’t get enough love, either for the very crunchy but genuinely exciting combat system, and for one heckuva metaplot and game world. A world of high adventure, and a world changed by Reality invaders. The players are the only chance Core Earth has at ending the Possibility Wars.

The Britannia theatre and the drive-in were closed in 1997, just shy of the 50th anniversary of the Drive-In’s opening. They built the Coliseum in its place. It never had that same spark of excitement the 6 had. I miss it.

What was your #childhoodcinema My theatre was the Britannia 6, in the west end of Ottawa. It was literally the first building beside my apartment building on Carling Avenue and Bayshore Drive. It was built by the Britannia Drive-In after their sales started slowing in the late 70s.

This is a picture showing the Britannia Drive-In theatre in Bayshore, a western subdivision in Ottawa. There is large open parking lot (where the Drive-In was) with a small white concession stand and projection building, and two large outdoor projection screens. Sandwiched between the drive-in and the nearby apartment building is the wedge shaped Britannia 6 theatre. The large three-lobed apartment building to the west of it is (3100 Carling Avenue) and you can see Carling Ave running parallel to the property on the north side. On the south and southwest sides are small Minto townhomes which was the largest number of buildings in Bayshore. At the very top (north) of the picture is the blue Ottawa River, the water from which Bayshore got its name.

In very late to the party news, I’ve finished the entire run of #DC #YoungJustice TV show and I was not prepared for how much of an emotional journey it was. Seeing DC play into its strengths as generational heroes coming into their own was a rewarding and moving watch. Thank you all who made it

I wanted to say thank you to @muskratjohn.bsky.social for the latest rewards! The bumper sticker and Army of Dorkness have now adorned my laptop, and the art cards are bookmarks in my Space 1999 Core Rules. And really, like a lot of places, Moonbase Alpha can use a lot more of Vonnegut.

Had a very fun session of #MarvelMultiversalRPG today. The PCs had a plan to bloody HYDRA’s nose, and they carried out, in the face of overwhelming odds, in a spectacular way. Zemo and HYDRA may control Manhattan but the fight’s just getting started!
