Been working on this anime review for 2 hours straight. I think it's time for a lunch break.

Finished #AEWWrestleDream this morning. Quite enjoyable. Match of the Night: Andrade/Ciampa (also takes spot of the night when he pinned the pants 😆)

Only slept about 4 hours before having to wake up to pee. Today is my last day off for 10 days. Trying to figure out what ratio of lazy to productive I want to be. I feel like I should do *something* and then reward myself with a nap. 🙃

Officially entering book pre-launch mode which means I need to start gathering things like promotional art. First thing I need is full color, full body character portraits. My main characters (Liam and Codie) need 2 portraits each (one child, one adult). Also have six side characters that […]

Just tried to remote into my PS5 using the Remote Play app. Every game I tried to open greeted me with this. What even is the point of the app any longer?!

About 9 minutes into the second episode of The Cold Sato-san is Only Sweet to Me and it's losing me. Shame. Wanted to like this one.

Forgot to mention, I'm open to working out a rate for the whole batch of art if that's easier.

One thing I'm going to miss after my favorite mobile game shuts down in a few days is randomly playing against the person from Japan with the screen name "Handjoblover". I hope that no matter where you go in the future, you keep getting those handies you love.

It's my day off. I haven't worked a lot this week, but I'm still tired. I should rest and recover while I still have the chance, but I have so many projects that are wanting my attention. 🙃

Almost time for me to get changed, head to work for an hour, and then head home and change back into my warm pajamas. This light work schedule is nice, but also super annoying.

Thinking of uploading some of my old/classic anime reviews from my original website (RIP OtakuReview.net) to my Patreon. This is kind of a big ask for everyone, but if you read my stuff back in the 00s or 10s (all 2 of you), I'd love to hear your thoughts on which of my reviews you liked […]

I think I know what my next non-fiction feature/side project is going to be. Earlier this year on Mastodon, there was a challenge to name your favorite fictional characters from A to Z. I'm going to do that but limit the scope to just anime characters. I've been pecking at this since May […]

Firefly Wedding Ep 1: Loved this first episode, but already feeling pretty certain this is going to become too dark for me within a few episodes. Not sure if I should keep watching up to that point and then bail, or just bail now and save myself the time.

Magic Knight Rayearth (2026) Ep 1: Alright, so I plan on sticking with this one regardless of any opinions I post right now since this is a chance to fill in a pretty big gap in my anime database. Pretty standard isekai setup which was expected. I also appreciated that they kept the 90s […]

I know I've talked about this a lot this week, but it does feel like a weight is off my shoulders now that my Red Dwarf piece is done. I don't know why, but leaving it unfinished felt like a weight around my neck which sucked the joy out of all my other WIPs.

Hmm. I just got a random text message. "Is this <legal name here>? The same <legal name> who went to <my primary school> back in the day?" There are very few people from my primary school days that I'd want to reconnect with so I think I'm going to ignore it.
