The pit beef, a taste of Baltimore recreated in Los Angeles, If slightly Angelenofied. Lean beef seasoned & over oak charcoal hot and fast, total cook time about an hour. Thin sliced, piled on toasted bolillo and covered in tangy horseradish sauce, crisp white onion and dill pickles.

I grew up in DC but I've lived in L.A. for 26 years this summer. I've had a hankering for a taste from Baltimore, one of my favorite cities. A pit beef sandwich. I pulled off a pretty decent facsimile... I think? Anyway it was good.

A sandwich of roasted beef, cooked fast and hot and sliced thin, piled on a toasted bolillo and topped with thinly sliced raw onion and dill pickle chips, and a hearty dose of homemade tiger sauce, extra horseradish. In the background an individual serving size bag of Utz potato chip in the orange and brown that signifies, "the crab chip".

The viral adverts for Jordan Peele's US: Part 2 are weird.

A billboard for, "Listening!" (The other person might be right- pass it on!) showing to young Black girls, possibly twins, smiling all teeth and wide eyed at each other. It's a slightly eerie billboard, a little forced. Wait, don't those young girls look like the young girl and her mirror reflection in Jordan Peele's US... this is just a billboard.
