iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

i keep having super fucked up intense dreams even though all i think about before bed is embarrassing cringe thinking about my anime ships kissing

actually i do know one word i could say. but i shan't say it.

the official subbed lyrics are UNHINGED btw i don't even know where to start or what to say.

i feel like i got caught up paying so much attention to other anisong series lately so now they just dropped a fucking direct pipebomb onto my lap WHAT THE HELL MAN

yesterday as a test run I had to give Scout the calming medication I'm supposed to give her for travelling. so that if there were any side effects, I could take her to the vet right away (vs. it happening while travelling) anyway. all it did was make her be REALLY nice to me 😭

one of the craziest things about the anime adaption of the Lai/Mayumi bus stop scene is how when Lai gets up close to Mayumi at the verry end to invite try and recruit them, he sort of positions one of his legs between both of Mayumi's??? Which is absurd. Let's all relax.

※ Ren ※ @oshino.bsky.social · 20/06/2025

still thinking about how crazy good the HxH stage show was

bishounen-pilled and lai-maxxing

remembering I have this account and JUST using it to run here and post about Lai is pretty on brand I think

Lai effectively takes on the role of both the resident swindler and of (aspiring) love interest when it comes to his relationship with Mayumi, so both scenes still feature that romantically charged and heavy flirtation element for both main characters as well.

The other big focus in Nisemonogatari of the scene with the merry-go-round is obviously Hitagi's presence, so it's both a scene about the main character's love interest and the swindler character. Whereas in Bishounen Tanteidan, those roles ends up bleeding together with Lai

in one of the Shaft details of all time in Episode 7 of both Nisemonogatari and of Bishounen Tanteidan, when the main character goes to meet with the swindler, both scenes take place in front of a carousel with the fade from afternoon to twilight throughout the conversation

noticing a detail in a story for the first time but I genuinely do NOT know if it's something everyone else caught before while it went over my head and thus I just missed out on discussion around or if I'm actually picking up on something new...? yknow ?

I had to try on every single piece of clothing I own so listening to Gaga put me in a really good mindset to judge for if I felt like I was serving in it.
