Ah fuck, I’m visible today? I was enjoying not being perceived (I’m not sorry for the dumb joke)

I know that it’s not exactly the wisest thing to weigh in on discourse, but screw it. More eyes on the game is not, in and of itself, a bad thing, especially when the game itself has such a high barrier to entry. Someone playing the game doesn’t automatically make them part of the community either.

(Explain your @) I just like Oshawott dawg. It’s a portmanteau of Oshawott and Pokémon.

So yknow how i mentioned things starting to get quieter with work a couple weeks back? I think I jinxed myself because I’m now doing even more. Streams will return once I have the energy for it again. Life really has a way of kicking you in the arse for getting complacent.

I have had the new starters in my life for five seconds and if anything happens to ANY of them

I’m really glad that I’ve been able to stream more recently because it’s so much fun (even if nobody’s around to actually watch). I’m also planning on working on some stuff behind the scenes since it’s starting to get a bit quieter with work now, so I have a bit more time to get on with them.

I do have some ideas for streams atm but I’m so busy with work that I’m just not getting the time to do so. By busy with work I mean I’m constantly working evenings, which means I don’t have time to stream. Should be quieter soon tho. Big ideas on the way.

Nintendo direct was fine. Nothing particularly exciting for me personally but yk.

So I keep seeing skiing videos and GOD DAMN IT I WANNA BE BACK IN THE MOUNTAINS!! Plus the olympics is already making me think of getting back into racing again too and hasn’t even started. If only I weren’t broke.

Maybe it’s because not only did it release in the same year as Mario kart, but the pricing is even more egregious than it. By charging $100 for the full game, they price so many people out.

I keep wanting to play skong but don’t have the time to stream and I wanna play it on stream. So I don’t get much chance to play skong. Anyway skong tomorrow.

One more thought about the update. I’m 1000% calling getting a kill streak aura farming from here on out. (And you should too)

010

Jon-Luke/Oshamon @oshamon.bsky.social · 27/01/2026

11.0 looks very interesting. I think the stealth jump nerf is a good thing. The addition of a buff for kill streaks I will need to see in action but I’d say definitely helps front liners a lot. Health bars I’m not too fussed about, but hitbox changes are definitely going to need some getting used to

Honestly starting to stream as a pngtuber has helped with the motivation to stream a lot. Yes it’s not quite as expressive as facecam or a full vtuber model but it’s enough to take away some of the extra effort bts, like having lights on and tidying my room and wearing contacts on lazy days.

Legends Z-A actually gave me insane day one shiny luck. Including the guaranteed shiny, I’ve caught four shiny Pokémon, three unique ones and a duplicate one, all without actively shiny hunting. I usually go months between random shinies, and now I’ve had three in a single day.

000

Jon-Luke/Oshamon @oshamon.bsky.social · 16/10/2025

Thank god shinies don’t despawn in ZA because I’d have lost my first one to a gamers don’t look up moment. I instead found it hours later after getting a guaranteed one first.
