Knose @oscar.cederberg.xyz · 12/12/2024getting a feeling after watching the music video for björk's hyper-ballad that maybe the vibes of 00s VN midi OST that i was getting from the song wasn't totally off youtu.be/6CSiU0j_lFAyoutu.bebjörk - hyperballadYouTube video by björk 020
Knose @oscar.cederberg.xyz · 04/12/2024threads in rust (and i think in general) aren't actually each running on separate a core. it's managed by the OS and you can add a lot before it starts complaining. they will also automatically be cancelled whenever the main process finishes, so unless they're doing something important it's fine B) 110
Knose @oscar.cederberg.xyz · 25/11/2024some selected tracks - We Prick You (Wowawewa) - Looking For Water - Bring Me The Disco King - The Stars (Are Out Tonight) Blackstar is an Excellent Solid Album, through and through. Earthling is also a very good experience, with songs like Seven Years in Tibet and I'm Afraid of Americans. 000
Knose @oscar.cederberg.xyz · 25/11/2024another day another music review bowie 90s-10s: i had only listened to earthlings, the next day, and blackstar before. i was happily surprised by 1. Outside and Reality who had some really nice tracks. the segues in the former are also very good at building the mood. 110
Knose @oscar.cederberg.xyz · 23/11/2024some of my new favorites: - Get Out Of My House (!!!!!) - Pull Out The Pin - All The Love - Waking The Witch - Jig Of Life - Hounds Of Love - The Wedding List i had heard suspended in gaffa, babooshka, running up that hill, and army dreamers before. they're all very good as well. 010
Knose @oscar.cederberg.xyz · 23/11/2024regarding kate bush, Hounds of Love and The Dreaming are SOLID albums. Never for Ever also has a couple of really good tracks, but i'd say listening through them the other two were the ones i thought she was the most drama/theatre-y, and unashamedly so. loved them. 110
Knose @oscar.cederberg.xyz · 23/11/2024some other tracks that came up on spotify: - bel canto - Unicorn - Flea - Helen Burns - You'll Nevet Get to Heaven - Setting Sun 000
Knose @oscar.cederberg.xyz · 23/11/2024my favorite new tracks from björk are mostly from Vespertine and Homogenic, alongside hyper-ballad from Post. they have this weird/web/dreamcore-vibe i can't really shake off. early web-feeling, like some visual novel MIDI-track. - It's Not up to You - Pagan Poetry - Immature (both versions) 100
Knose @oscar.cederberg.xyz · 22/11/2024yes, but that could also be your perspective because you know about it (which is good that you do). i am not totally sure or convinced that the majority of the people in the US knew what was going on, as otherwise i'd think harris would've won. 000
Knose @oscar.cederberg.xyz · 22/11/2024like i said, no idea what the article says so it might not even be the point. but from your description: for individuals, yes. but in general, no. it's important to know that that the viewpoint exists and how widespread it is. otherwise, you'll have less of a reason to act against it, _maybe_ (idk). 100
Knose @oscar.cederberg.xyz · 22/11/2024i can't read the article, but maybe the idea is that people shouldn't become complacent by hiding what the right-wing is posting online? trump won because the democrats _didn't_ vote this election. 110
Knose @oscar.cederberg.xyz · 22/11/2024i try to listen to spotify while working at the office now, and right now trying out different artists each week week 1: bowie 90s-00s (banger after banger) week 2: kate bush's first few albums (_holy shit_) week 3: nine inch nail (hmm, some good) week 4-5: björk (vespertine ❤️) maybe the cure w6. 000
