in addition to replay theater, there's a very excellent website which has links to Mikado VODs in a database with character entries done by OCR so the character matchup search is "perfect". playertags aren't documented unfortunately but it's still fun to dig thru insubstantial.org/ggxrd-mikado...

On this day in 1994, the Clinton administration's heathcare reform plan was declared "dead" by Congress. Over 30 years later, the US is still the only industrialized country without universal healthcare. This should be a national outrage.

AI could be used to kill us all. Notice I didn’t say that AI could kill us all purely on its own. It does what it’s been trained and told to do. It’s already been trained to impersonate people, and could be used to impersonate someone with launch codes. Nuclear disarmament is the only safe option.

I truly, deeply, sincerely do think the guy flipping burgers at McDonalds should be able to afford rent, bills, and groceries with his paycheck alone. That's kind of the whole point of having a job and I can't believe this is considered a radical position.🤷🏽‍♀️

I don't think I can overstate at this point how much the western FGC would improve if we just took social media away from 99% of the people who post about fighting games. I don't mean improve at hitting buttons, I mean improve the experience of fighting games in the west in *every* facet.

Billionaire tax cuts are a choice. Cutting healthcare is a choice. Gutting food stamps is a choice. Spending billions on an illegal war is a choice. Slapping tariffs on everything is a choice. A $5000 bribe barely offsets the pain people are feeling — and sure as hell won't erase it.

A top Anthropic researcher just quit over concerns AI superintelligence could "kill us all" in a decade. Remember: The AI industry has spent $100M+ on federal lobbying and elections this year to stop real AI safety regulations from being enacted. Money in politics is dangerous.

At the 100 lowest-paying major corporations — including Walmart, DoorDash, and Amazon — CEO pay averaged $17.5M in 2025. Median worker pay was just $36,571, a ratio of 614 to 1. Those same 100 companies spent $108.6B on stock buybacks last year. How can anyone defend this?

Walmart gets a big tariff refund and promises to lower its prices. So now prices will be closer to where they were BEFORE Trump's tariffs? And is that supposed to make up for the higher prices customers ALREADY PAID due to the tariffs? If you feel like you are losing your marbles, you are not.

The best measure of how America is doing isn’t the unemployment rate, or the stock market, or the rate of economic growth, or the inflation rate, or the average wage. It’s how well most Americans are living. And the reality is that most Americans are struggling.

Since COVID's origins are in the news again, I think it's worth giving the following paper from some respected virologists a quick read: journals.asm.org/doi/pdf/10.1... The tl;dr is that the zoonotic origin hypothesis has the stronger evidence and a lab origin is unlikely.
