Tonight's show is Cringe! It's kind of a live action Fesshole. Very funny.
A stage is set with Etsy appears to be a washing machine and a set of curtains. Who knows what dirty laundry will be aired...

My first Reubens in the flesh was not a fruity woman. Instead it was a kid who'd been decapitated but hadn't followed convention and kept wandering about. ...and I've just learned a new word. Cephalophore.

Bruce Lee one inch punched a New York Cab out of the way of opposing traffic, saving the lives of at least 3 people. The only reason you've never heard this before is that they don't want you to know.

Theatre Companies. If you're staging 2:22 A Ghost Story and want the LED clock files as video let me know. I've got them at 1080p. Formatted for transitions. Stills, then Snap black, time lapse, real time for each act. It was a pig to build, happy to share. #theatre #theatresky #fx

I like to have totems for shows. Next year's big show (for me) is Lucy Kirkwood's The Children. So I've bought a Geiger counter. Which after some minor mods will be the show Geiger counter.

Massive lens cleaning session about to start. Then eBay time for the random ones. I built a Soligor collection which I'll keep. Plus a Pentax 50 great doco lens. 135 Helios beautiful portrait lens, and an odd holy grail 50 that I got just before YouTube drove the prices up. The rest, weird,
An aluminium case full of old manual SLR lenses, covers, adaptors and filters. There is a fine layer of dust on some of the contents, which suggests it's time to let this glass go.

If I were to make a film about the modern state of British politics my first thought probably wouldn't be a campy absurdist prison horror comedy gorefest. But then I'm clearly not Joko Anwar.
A poster for Joko Anwars Ghost in the Cell. It is a creepy as fuck like those nasty clickbait spam adverts about popping zits on shitty websites.

Power cut last nght borked the router at work. The entire organisation's Internet's been running off my phone since 9.30 this morning. Struggling to keep it together while attempting to find and talk to the one human who can do tech support whilst asking me 98 unecessary security questions.
The Mayor of Casterbridge fails to keep "The Other Guy" at bay and totally Hulks out whilst on a customer service phone call.

2:22 is done. This is the last bear igniter. In truth the ignition was easy, it was wrangling the cotton for a decent burn which kicked our ass. I'm still the king of practical effects. In this building. In this room. Currently.
A low ohm resistor soldered to long wires and fitted in to a cable clamp.

I didn't have my phone when I first saw this and the contrail X was closer to the moon. This is after grabbing my phone and cleaning the lens. By which time 90% of the WOW factor had drifted off to the left. Merde...🙁
A night time shot of a bright moon breaking cloud cover a huge "X" formed by contrails sits slightly above and to the moon's left.

Got grassed up by another tech for having this broken antenna secured with 100kg break paracord. I should hiss at him prison style. Repaired with a 1/4 20 threaded insert and JB Weld. Why are the artless twats always such raging fannies.

My childhood reading journey went from Enid Blyton, to Asterix, to Peter Benchley James Herbert, and Stephen King and their imitators. I loved Gary Brander's run, little sad over The Howling, totally missed this one he scripted in the VHS glory days. Cameron's Closet. It has telekinetic powers.

Alex is a hero.
If you could “melvin” anyone in real life - as Bill & Ted do to Death in Bogus Journey - who would it be? Dr_J_A_Zoidberg

I grew up in the US, and I did not grow up with "melvin". I grew up with "wedgie”. It must be a coastal thing. Maybe on the west coast they say "melvin"? In the midwest and the east coast they definitely say wedgie.

Anyway, who would I most like to melvin or wedgie? Elon Musk.

Screw you Erbauer... No, literally how? The only choice is to manually kinda sharpen the teeth to get through this job.
A shitty Erbauer Chop Saw bolt that should be made of decent fucking material is wallered tf out so now it either gums the wood to pieces or I buy another saw.

Good show. Though I'm of the opinion that if you don't want to throat-punch a clever Oscar Wilde character they're not giving it the full 'arch'. Everyone's gone home for the night, so back to 2:22. I'm working on the "clock"

I have a soft spot for DOT Productions. They're very much in the old school of rep touring theatre. Look at how they create depth with their set. Standard flats, standard dimensions. Stage braces and pin hinges.

Very good/busy day. Trimmed the hedge at home. Cut out the clock box for 2:22 then did sound and lights for the Peter Green show which, no thanks to me, got a standing ovation. Saving this for tomorrow. We've back to touring theatre.

Need to drive a baby monitor (with effects) with audio from QLab hopefully this floating circuit will drop line level output down to mic level. There is a smaller version of this but I'd lose my shit trying to solder it. If we had a 3d printer I might just make a Bluetooth speaker job.
Suspended by helping hands is an audio attenuation circuit apparently. It is made in the most basic manner possible. Component to component with a brass(?) ground track.
