If you want to reach out and talk via Discord sometimes, feel free to do that! That's where I'm very much active as opposed to here. @ornil I still like this place a lot, and I'll still be looking forward to seeing all your posts!

Hi friends! I know I haven't posted in the last 5 days or so, when I'd normally try and hop on and make some kind of post every day, but it felt a little forced sometimes. I've never been one for social media really, so I'll probably be lurking a lot more than I already have.

It was taken on by a different developer and publishers, and rereleased this last Thursday! It's pretty good! I'm having a great time still.

Been a while since a game sucked me in as much as Blue Protocol. The aesthetics, animations, and combat all look and feel so great! And better yet, the monetization is super fair - the only expensive stuff being whatever outfit is in the gacha. No P2W! Took this cute screenshot with my wife, too!

Been enjoying Blue Protocol a LOT! I somehow ended up leading a guild with max members on day 1. This was entirely unexpected, but it's fun. I haven't done that in awhile. And my character is adorable, too!

Oh yeah, those were pretty short-lived too.

Remember plasma TVs? I just did. I can't think of a display technology that went obsolete faster than that, to be honest.

My guess is somewhere in between the stretch of ocean between Istan and the Ring of Fire, but it really is tough to guess.

Can't wait to get all these parts in for a tiny PC I'm building for my living room. I'm even gonna try and 3D print my own case to get it as small as possible. 👀

If I'm the smart one we're cooked fellas. At least we got your tatas...

Blue Protocol comes out tomorrow! Expect cute screenshots of my character! I can't believe it's finally happening. Better be worth the wait!!! I already enjoyed the beta though!

New TV came in! And it's so incredibly vivid! Really excited to do some gaming on it!! Ghost of Yotei will really shine on this when I get around to it.

One year already 💀 It was awesome, even better than Persona imo. I hope they continue to make more.

400 followers!!! Thank you everyone for making this place really fun as always! I don't have any kind of goal or anything in mind, just here to make friends! I've always been more of a lurker than anything, but I hope that's still okay. 😁

My TV died randomly, so I bit the bullet to get a fancy OLED. Excited to get it, but wish it was on my own terms lol

Ys games really put you into a kind of flow state that I've never had another game be able to recreate. I love them all so much! I didn't think I'd like I & II either but I was pleasantly surprised.

Origin was my first one! I really enjoyed it, especially the music!

Morning! I've got an exciting furniture delivery too!

I know nothing about K-Pop Demon Hunters, but I dreamt that it was a mobile Subway Surfers-like game. Anyway, happy Monday?

I don't know how 13 year old me beat Dead Space. Not sure I could do that these days lmao

Ornil 🎮 Final Fantasy Tactics @ornil.bsky.social · 06/10/2025

This is still gonna have to be Resident Evil VII for me, unfortunately. I had gotten to the final section of the game, but I needed to take a break. I got too spooked. And then I never went back to finish it... I've since learned that's a heavily disliked part of the game, anyway.

I love Reverie! The amount of playable party members gets totally absurd, haha

010

Ornil 🎮 Final Fantasy Tactics @ornil.bsky.social · 06/10/2025

I still like it a lot, and will be going for the platinum of course. But if the game is going to push you to grind, it should probably be against enemies. Anyway, complaining about a game as old as me over. I can see why it's a beloved classic for sure. Just a bit silly.

020

Ornil 🎮 Final Fantasy Tactics @ornil.bsky.social · 06/10/2025

Okay, I like FF Tactics, but here's the thing (bracing myself): The progression is totally broken, and random difficulty spikes end up encouraging you to exploit it heavily. Hitting your own teammates is the most optimal way to grind, and that's poor design imo. Great game otherwise.

Aw man, I gotta start Christmas shopping, don't I? I'm terrible at that.

Taking the OLED TV plunge. This thing better blow me away... I always said I wanted my next TV to be OLED, but on my own terms. 😭

Reverie was so damn fun to break. Not really challenging at all, but fun.

020

Ornil 🎮 Final Fantasy Tactics @ornil.bsky.social · 03/10/2025

Yeah, I don't watch TV but I do like to play my consoles just chilling on the couch with a big screen. My wallet hurts a bit, but the replacement is gonna be a massive improvement.

020

Ornil 🎮 Final Fantasy Tactics @ornil.bsky.social · 03/10/2025

I got 4.5 years out of this one and super cheaped out on it. So I'm not all that surprised I suppose.

010

Ornil 🎮 Final Fantasy Tactics @ornil.bsky.social · 03/10/2025

It turns on, but no backlight and not even any image beyond that. Sound works fine. Seems like some pretty core components, so not really worth trying to pay for repairs.😕

Ugh... I think my TV broke. Not a fun surprise to have thrown at me.

Ornil 🎮 Final Fantasy Tactics @ornil.bsky.social · 02/10/2025

See, I do that to a detrimental extent and stress myself out trying to worry about every single car around me doing something wrong. But, I'll get a handle on it. It's been the biggest challenge I've faced in my life so far, and I'm determined to follow through this time.

130

Ornil 🎮 Final Fantasy Tactics @ornil.bsky.social · 02/10/2025

Got it, still totally valid reasoning. Why tf would they be telling you to drive??? Forcing people to drive when they're uncomfortable isn't safe.

010

Ornil 🎮 Final Fantasy Tactics @ornil.bsky.social · 02/10/2025

This, 1000%. I don't think I'll ever feel comfortable driving outside of my routine places that I do it, when I get my license. I'm taking my time precisely because I don't want to make stupid mistakes, but don't trust other people not to.

120

Ornil 🎮 Final Fantasy Tactics @ornil.bsky.social · 02/10/2025

Driving isn't easy and it's so goddamn annoying when someone tells you to "just get your license" I'm learning how to drive right now and I'm not telling 95% of my family because I know they'd be assholes about me taking my time. Because it is rightfully terrifying.

Sadly going to have to put off this week's new games in favor of FF Tactics, but I will be getting around to Digimon and Ghost of Yotei when this wave of bangers subsides. We're eating good! Hope everyone is having fun with all these new games to dig into!

180

Ornil 🎮 Final Fantasy Tactics @ornil.bsky.social · 01/10/2025

They've been lame for awhile, I'm afraid. 😔

110

Ornil 🎮 Final Fantasy Tactics @ornil.bsky.social · 01/10/2025

Talk about losing the plot. I'd like to see them course correct like Nintendo has done prior, but is it too late? There's more greed in the industry than ever before. I don't think the brand will be able to come back and crush it like it used to. Not with Microsoft pumping funds into AI, anyway. 😡
