A cheery group of people at the Fossil Collectors' Code discussion meeting, including representatives of Norfolk and Suffolk Fossil Finds Facebook groups, the Geological Collections Group, Geological Society of Norfolk, Museum of London, Natural England, Norfolk Coast National Landscape, Norfolk Historic Environment Record, Norfolk Museums Service, Natural History Museum, as well as three local collectors. Other organisations including the Seaview Cafe at Runton and the Norfolk Wildlife Trust were invited but could not attend.

What a superb day yesterday. As part of @originalgcg.bsky.social annual seminar, I went walking in the footprints of giants - mainly Iguanadonts. Between Pett Level beach & Fairlight Cove, I observed dinosaur trackways, tail marks, bone beds, fossil wood and ripples ⚒️🪨🦕 @derbyuni.bsky.social

2024 truly wad the year of the Megalosaur. Not only did we celebrate 200 years since the first scientifically described dinosaur, the megalosaurus, was announced but our team along with researchers from @unibirmingham.bsky.social uncovered megalosaur and sauropod trackways in Oxfordshire!
