#nowplaying #vinyl 🎵 Philip Glass - The Photographer (1983) Continuing my annual Halloween reading of Dracula with some minimalism, which is surprisingly fitting

Photo of a vinyl record on a turntable with the album propped up on top of it. The album cover features a 4×3 grid collage of photographic stills of a horse and rider in motion, photos taken by the pioneering photographer Eadweard Muybridge whose murder charges are the subject of the album. Red and teal cursive text at the top reads "Philip Glass" and "The Photographer". A paperback copy of Bram Stoker's Dracula is set alongside the album, its cover features an illustration of a sickly pale hand with sharp nails emerging from a coffin

#nowplaying #vinyl 🎵 Lin Lunde - The Mosque Wurlitzer (ca. 1970s) I chanced upon this whilst out this weekend, it's a piece of #RVA I never knew existed! Unfortunately the Wurlitzer was disabled in 2013 and there don't seem to be any restoration plans, which explains why I'd never heard of it

Photo of a vinyl record on a turntable with the album propped up on top of it. The album cover features a photograph of an ornate theater's stage as viewed from an angle. Red curtains with gold trim cover the stage and decorations in the proscenium feature Moorish Revival scenes of Middle Eastern splendor. Decorative floor-to-ceiling grates feature the same Moorish Revival style. To the left of the stage an old organ console is illuminated by a spotlight. The album is titled "The Mosque Wurlitzer"

#nowplaying #vinyl 🎵 Steely Dan - With a Gun (1974) + 🎵 Simon & Garfunkel - Somewhere They Can't Find Me (1966) It feels like these two fit together really well, almost like they're part of the same story

Photo of a vinyl record on a turntable with the album propped up on top of it. A CD jewel case is also propped up on top of the turntable. The record cover features a color photograph of two young men on a dirt road looking back at the camera. The CD cover features a black and white photograph of a snack vendor in a wooded area serving "hot pretzles"

#breadclip #HORG #occlupanid Surprise occlupanids in the #Splatoon 2 art book! Based on HORG's taxonomy they have all the hallmarks of Palpatophora utiliformis (www.horg.com/horg/?page_i...) but the oral groove suggests a cross with the Novenocentridae family (www.horg.com/horg/?page_i...)
