I'm excited to announce my newest paper out on arxiv: Expanding the High-z Supernova Frontier with JWST 🚀 We just used JWST to push transient astronomy to z ~ 5, discovering 68 supernovae...all without a dedicated time-domain survey. Here’s what we found 👇🧵 1/n

It's been an exciting 2025. I haven't done a great job promoting my work on social media, so over the next couple weeks, I'll make an attempt to summarize three of my biggest papers. Stay tuned...we'll see if I actually get this done.

I don't post a lot, but I am particularly proud of this paper. It's the first observational sample of binary companions to stripped envelope supernovae. And places constraints on the binary evolution physics. It only took me 10 years to build with HST! arxiv.org/abs/2508.12677

Let's get back to Euclid's Early Release Observation (ERO)! 🔭 This is a new version of mine of the Messier 78 observation by Euclid. I wanted to improve my first try from months ago, so here is it! M78 is a nebula located some 1,350 light years away. HD: flic.kr/p/2r6juDX
A gas structure seen in infrared. The gas appears red and orange, spanning from right to left. At the centre some young stars carved a "cave" inside the gas cloud, as their violent stellar winds pushed the gas around it. On the left some jets can be spotted, created by stars being born. Hundreds of stars and even galaxies can be spotted in the background, everywhere in the image.

You probably know the Pillars of Creation in Messier 16, let me introduce you to other pillars in our own galactic center! 🔭 Named the Sickle, these are pillars seen by the JWST in mid-infrared in the center of the Milky Way. The stars being born here will be monsters! HD: flic.kr/p/2qZFSpD
Dust and gas orange and blue structures in mid-infrared, giving the image a painting-like appearance. Pillars emerge from the structure, where new stars are born. Background blue and white stars can be spotted as well.Another part of the same structure. Other pillars can be seen, in the same orange and blue colours.
