MOSA workers would be the third unionized organic certification workers in the country. Unlike Oregon Tilth and MOFGA, MOSA declined to voluntarily recognize the union and is engaging in a vicious unionbusting campaign. Tell them what you think of that. actionnetwork.org/letters/tell...

Union update: 2 Sept. sessions = proposals on recognition, scope, seniority + more. Mgmt tried for 1 Oct. session—we won 2 (Oct. 20 & 29). Workers now joining as silent observers. We’re pushing forward for a fair contract! ✊ #UnionStrong #WorkersUnited

Supporters & friends in the organic community, we need your help! In July, we requested more certification expertise in Oregon Tilth leadership and were brushed off, then ignored completely. We're hoping your emails to the Board will build the traction we need to make this positive change at Tilth!

There is a theme of support for the collective among the individuals of OTWU, and today’s member Elise fits right in. Not surprising, considering a long history of organic agriculture, rooted in efforts to improve production systems in order to protect humans, wildlife, and the natural environment.

What’s that? A two-for-one member highlight! While we wait to hear back on our request for voluntary recognition, we want to show off even more of our members. Meet Sarah Townsend, who told us that she had too many reasons to put on one post, so here’s a small sampling of why she’s supporting OTWU.
