Is there anything sweeter than the unfurling of baby fern fronds? Maybe, but in this moment, it makes my heart melt. 🪴💚 #photography #ferns #plantlover #pnw #naturegirl #plantparenthood

No fungus on today's hike but instead the lovely glow of fresh, new moss growing on the trees. #photography #naturegirl #plantlover #pnw #moss

Where are my fellow 1975'ers at?! I am actually pretty stoked to turn 50 towards the end of the year. How rad is it that we have lived half our life in the 20th century and now half in the 21st?? Think of the amazing changes #GenX has witnessed! What do you think about 50? #thisis50 #80skid

It feels wonderful to have been welcomed by so many of you here on BlueSky... especially the sticking it to Leon part. 😛

Trump taps Project 2025 architect Ross Vought to lead the budget office. Here was Vought during the campaign saying he didn't blame Trump for disavowing Project 2025 because he knew it was a good political move.

I’m sorry to start the day with something so sobering, but Robert F. Kennedy is about to completely weaken global health - and people will die because of it. Here’s how. 🧵

The more informed you are, the less likely you are to vote Republican. Who agrees? 🤚

One Warm Springs Tribe story I came across described how the mountains of this range were once people who were on a march due to the conflict between Mt. Adams and Mt. Hood and stopped as a result of Coyote’s trickery, becoming mountains where they stood. 2/2

European settlers in the area gave them the names Faith (North Sister), Hope (Middle Sister), and Charity (South Sister), but their collective name as “The Three Sisters” came from local Native American myth. 1/2

My kitty with the extra toes was very cozy this morning. It was hard to leave for a 9.5 hour day instead of just curling up beside her. 😺

Hiking slow and looking down and all around. Sometimes I hike for exercise and miss things. This was just a lovely ramble in the woods. Highly recommend, 5 stars!

Mushroom! It used to have a traditional cap, but it does this as it ages. 😊 It's edible, too!

I'm sorry you're experiencing that. I'm a native Oregonian, born and raised, but I am not proud of much of our history and continued problematic thinking in regard to others in a large part of the state.

Yeti for this sweet pupper? My Avery needed sleeves to protect an area she was licking and the baby department is much less expensive than dog clothes! 😁

Stay ahead of the pain and get Miralax for the constipation. Don't be surprised if you have some post surgery blues/depression. Let people help you, especially with housework, shopping etc, if they offer. Easy to put on/take off pj's and lounge clothes that don't sit on the incision.

Had a laminectomy in 2018 & microdiscectomy in 2020. I don't know what type of surgery you are having on your spine but my biggest piece of advice would be to follow instructions carefully about movement and exercise, lifting, and whatever physical therapy you receive after surgery. Best wishes! 🤍

Tall fir trees in the background and deciduous trees in the foreground with bright yellow leaves. The sun is shining through the tree limbs.
