It's 🛠️ #FieldWorkFriday Technicians upgraded the 20-year-old infrastructure at seismic site LAIR in western Oregon, helping it transmit data faster to support the #ShakeAlert Earthquake Early Warning System.

It’s 🛠️ #FieldWorkFriday This week, field technicians visited seismic sites KEB, BROK, and CARP. The trip to KEB involved ensuring our devices were oriented to true north, upgrading the 12-year-old solar panels at BROK, and fixing radio issues at CARP.

Happy 🛠️#FieldWorkFriday! This week, our field techs headed south to service a seismic site and cam. At CAVE the team upgraded telemetry and converted the site’s batteries. Over at Fiddler WF cam, the team realigned the radio link to boost connectivity and improve data flow.

Today is World Tsunami Awareness Day. If you are on the coast and feel shaking or get an earthquake early warning alert, you should #DropCoverHoldOn. Wait for shaking to stop. Then evacuate to high ground or inland. A tsunami may be coming! Learn about #ShakeAlert at usgs.gov/FAQ/BeShakeAlertSafe.

We just added two new wildfire cameras in the Columbia River Gorge! #FieldworkFriday The Stacker and Juniper cameras are in WA so they can spot fires on both sides of the river. Thanks Klickitat PUD for hosting them! Live feeds will be available soon on ALERTWest.live and the @watchduty.org app.
