Ordinary Elephant @ordinaryelephant.bsky.social · 10/07/2025There's a chance we can experience it too, and we can't believe it. But the poster says so. Truly an honor to have our names alongside these artists. We need your help (via your vote) to board the next boat though. 100
Ordinary Elephant @ordinaryelephant.bsky.social · 10/07/2025We've been hearing about Cayamo for years. The family of folks who sing the high praises of this high seas festival is spread far and wide, and we meet them everywhere. 100
Ordinary Elephant @ordinaryelephant.bsky.social · 08/07/2025We're heading north for the summer! Kicking off our tour tomorrow (Wed) at Northfield Mandolins (LOW TIX). They built Pete’s octave and we’re so honored to be returning to their beautiful showroom in Marshall, MI where they have some of the best mandolins (and espresso)! 000
Ordinary Elephant @ordinaryelephant.bsky.social · 21/06/2025We shared the song over at our Patreon community, and asked folks to weigh in on a possible title. If you're not already Patron, you can head there to see a little preview of the song, and decide if you might want to join our growing community that we are incredibly grateful for. 000
Ordinary Elephant @ordinaryelephant.bsky.social · 21/06/2025I was glad this song was determined to come out and prove me wrong. Be open. Let yourself see things through the lens of your life that only you can see clearly. Maybe that's the lesson. 100
Ordinary Elephant @ordinaryelephant.bsky.social · 21/06/2025We've got a new song, and it needs a name. Mayo. That was the prompt. I do love mayo, but have never thought to write anything about it. I figured I'd either take my yearly mulligan that month, or end up with something silly that checked the box, but didn't live beyond that. 110
Ordinary Elephant @ordinaryelephant.bsky.social · 15/05/2025It's gonna be a really lovely night for folk songs, and we hope you'll join us for our last show until we hit the road again in July 🚐. 010
Ordinary Elephant @ordinaryelephant.bsky.social · 15/05/2025Tonight 🤠! We'll be hitting the stage for a very special show at the 04 Center in Austin (Pete's hometown 🏡🏙️). The venerable songsmith @terryklein.bsky.social will kick off the night. There are still advance tickets available (which are a little cheaper than at the door). 📷 by Sean Mathis 120
Ordinary Elephant @ordinaryelephant.bsky.social · 12/05/2025We've been knowin' @terryklein.bsky.social 's brilliant songs for quite a few years now. What amazes us is that every time we see him, he plays us something new that leaves our ghasts completely flabbered. Can't wait to hear him on Thursday in Austin kicking off the night for us at the 04 Center! 010

Ordinary Elephant @ordinaryelephant.bsky.social · 01/04/2025This one came out way more fully formed than usual (at least lyrically...took some woodshedding to get the phrasing right and to be able to play and sing it at the same time). It's something that feels like one of the truest reflections bouncing back from the summer of 2019 to now... 🧵 100
Ordinary Elephant @ordinaryelephant.bsky.social · 01/04/2025I'm sure I've said this here before, but I love the way a prompt or writing process can pull out songs waiting to fall to the page if you leave yourself open. 🧵 100
