a strapping young man, very tall, will make a fine king one day

if I was homeless I'd simply build a rudimentary raft and wide net catching rainbow trout to sustain myself, surplus sold to the local fishmonger - passive income is key

Dean @ordersson.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

feel like the record was a bit overlooked? just given how incredibly strong it is

oh yeah the whole thing is brilliant, Dawn Time though caught me today (obviously having just been warmed up by Yume No Serei)

what's the textfile anecdote equivalent of trying to find a legitimate 320 digital file?

000

big yourself up, go easy on yourself <3

*frantically preparing, going through disorganised folders of textfile anecdotes* - nah I can't not drop this, fuckkkk, generational

110

but ofc retaining that signature bounce throughout, good luck <3 <3

counterpoint - firing squad probably the most humane method of execution, the problem with it is that it really quite concisely lays bare the violence of the whole process

it also ignores what in fact makes up the bulk of streaming, uncommitted people wanting to listen to their existing favourite music

can of red stripe in the back pocket, we used to be a proper country

he never bolts upright remembering some cripplingly embarrassing social thing that happened at college, a truly blessed continuously renewing existence

UPDATE: shocked to learn they have actually made at least 2 whole albums since 2005 and this is not a return after 20+ years

000

kk so here was me thinking they actually hadn't done anything since 2005 lol, sorry I'm not listening to 2 whole other records far as I'm concerned they've been erstwhile for 21 years

lol don't feel entirely surprised, i can't say I've especially (at all) kept up on their business but YAW,IAM was a big one for me back in the day

I don't necessarily want to reappraise this record right now, but needs must and circumstances dictate...

you couldn't come out with 'You're A Woman, I'm A Machine' today cos of woke - etc etc

120

feel like this is the only way to pick up this one, taking a chance on like a £7 2nd hand copy - never to be regretted!

ok now we can start to talk seriously about indie sleaze

130

realising now many years too late that The Boys match The Puces

110

there are far more cost effective ways to hear Frank Ocean's Channel Orange
