Flor Garduño, Camino al Camposanto (road to the cemetery), 1988. Commissioned by the Secretariat of Public Education to produce photographs for school textbooks, Garduño traveled throughout Mexico to document the lives of Indigenous peoples.
Black and white photogrtaph taken in Mexico, shows three, maybe four, people from the back, walking down a stone-laid road. The person in the middle carries a small coffin on their back. The title of the photo is road to the cemetery. The individuals were likely carrying a child to the local cemetery for burial.
