Like 1/10000 artists get to the point of being able to charge $400 to draw the exact same body type in one of six poses, and unfortunately that just isn't the reality for most artists. We get stuck taking on too much work to cover our bills, flounder, and have to pivot all too often. It's chunks.

Man at one point I did a three month unpaid internship at an ad agency to get into my career, earning barely above minimum wage. Now 17 years and many national financial disasters later, I'm looking at six weeks unpaid to have a chance at a kitchen "practicum" placement as a cook for min wage. 🙃
