Oh dang, I didn't know they changed the American one, too. I'm pretty sure I have the old version! That word isn't commonly used over here, so it didn't get AS much flack. Still a slur, 100%, but a lot of people on our end don't even KNOW that it's a slur because almost nobody says it to begin with.
