Looking at the article, it’s both a bit vague as to what exactly they mean, and sounds like this is some decision from higher ups. Regardless, if they go through with this RE Engine will have gone from one of the best game engines to the worst

I fortunately haven't seen any "3D platformers are dying / dead" claims lately, but just in case that claim's still lingering, here's a list of *some* of the 3D platformers that are (as far as I'm aware) currently slated to release in 2026. Or already have, in the case of Big Hops.

ROW 1: Big Hops, Demon Tides, Bubsy 4D, Kero Quest 64
ROW 2: The Big Catch, Mr. Sleepy Man, Rollin' Rascal, Teeto
ROW 3: KilaFlow, Super Sami Roll 2, Crescent Overload, Motorslice
ROW 4: No Straight Roads 2, Duskfade, Denshattack!, Skylark 64
ROW 5: Super Meat Boy 3D, Foldy's OS Quest, Super Chipflake Ü: Quest for the Uncooked Schnitzel, Valkyrie Saga

So just beat the Miracle Shots DK Challenge and, while not easy, it only took me about a few minutes to get it. I'm built different. 💪

Okay, so I know I'm late to this again, so I'm gonna do things a little differently now. I'm gonna list off the games I played last year(in no particular order btw) and give relatively short reviews of them in order to keep things simple and precise. With that in mind, here we go

Hey guys, I know it's already been a couple of days but HAPPY NEW YEAR! 🎉

orangeyoshidude30.bsky.social @orangeyoshidude30.bsky.social · 17/09/2025

Okay guys, change of plans. I'm moving on from trying to do the game review per month thing because not only are there so many games coming out that I'm interested in, but real life crap keeps getting in the way as is.

8.) Valerie (2024) This indie game has a bunch of potential. Despite it being incredibly simple compared to other platformers, this one has a personality and a charm that I really really enjoy. First time in a while where I had actually cried over the demo ending cause it was that good.

You don't get any cool points because you don't watch popular or mainstream anime. It's not a flex; it's a preference. Hell, there are hip-hop fans who don't listen to mainstream rap music. It's all about what appeals to YOU.

And with that, another review down. I'm gonna try and get the reviews out as quickly as possible since I want to move on to talking about other games, including a couple demos for future games I've played recently, including one that I backed personally on Kickstarter. Goodnight everyone. ✌️

Okay, so I apologize for getting this next review out late, a lot has happened to me since the last one BUT without further ado:

So I recently busted the screen on my phone and had to get a new one, which is where I'm posting this. Old phone still works, but now there's a decent sized crack on the front. Plus, my new phone has more gigs so it's not as slow.

Since I'm tired tonight and i just want to enjoy my next few days off from work, I might as well let you guys know how I feel about most people with blue checkmarks on Twitter and why I made that post about a week or two ago with the Forrest Gump GIF. With this GIF right here.

Alright, time for my next game review. The game in question:

orangeyoshidude30.bsky.social @orangeyoshidude30.bsky.social · 26/01/2025

Okay, so I think I'm just gonna treat the other reviews as normal reviews from now on. I will let you guys know when the next one is coming. I'm sorry for the wait guys.

orangeyoshidude30.bsky.social @orangeyoshidude30.bsky.social · 22/01/2025

I'm just gonna say this right now and be done with it. Anybody who pays for a free app like Twitter, especially as someone who works an average 9 to 5, cannot be taken seriously.

Okay slight change again, but since it is already the new year I'm just gonna forgoe putting the year in the title as well and just talk about the rest of the games I played last year normally. I'm just gonna treat it like regular reviews from now on.

100

orangeyoshidude30.bsky.social @orangeyoshidude30.bsky.social · 06/01/2025

And with that, I can finally move on to the other games. Again, I will get those reviews out as soon as I can, so please be patient with me. Pretty please? With sugar on top? 🙏

orangeyoshidude30.bsky.social @orangeyoshidude30.bsky.social · 06/01/2025

Okay, so I know I said i would get this review out the day after my previous post, but I got sidetracked again by other stuff unfortunately.

orangeyoshidude30.bsky.social @orangeyoshidude30.bsky.social · 01/01/2025

Well, once I do tomorrow's review of June 2024's game, that will pretty much wrap up the first half of 2024. I will continue to post the reviews for the rest of the top games I played in 2024 despite it now being the new year.

110

orangeyoshidude30.bsky.social @orangeyoshidude30.bsky.social · 01/01/2025

Hey guys, as promised, here is April's game to talk about first and man do I have things to say about this one:

100

orangeyoshidude30.bsky.social @orangeyoshidude30.bsky.social · 31/12/2024

Okay so, change of plans again. It is super late where I'm at in the world right now so I need to go to bed soon. I'm gonna wait till tomorrow and give you guys 2 reviews back to back to compensate for missing a day. Those reviews being for April's game and May's game respectively.

110

orangeyoshidude30.bsky.social @orangeyoshidude30.bsky.social · 30/12/2024

Alright, as promised, here is March's game which is:

110

orangeyoshidude30.bsky.social @orangeyoshidude30.bsky.social · 29/12/2024

And with that, February's game is now done. It's late where I'm at so I need to go to bed now, and I have to work in the morning. But as usual, I will try to get March's game done before tomorrow ends so stay tuned for that. Goodnight everyone. ✌

000

orangeyoshidude30.bsky.social @orangeyoshidude30.bsky.social · 29/12/2024

Alright then, sorry for the delay but continuing on with February we got:

000

orangeyoshidude30.bsky.social @orangeyoshidude30.bsky.social · 22/11/2024

Okay so since I was thinking about it today, I thought I would mention all of these awesome bits of retro greatness right here.

110

orangeyoshidude30.bsky.social @orangeyoshidude30.bsky.social · 19/11/2024

Hey guys, so slight change of plans: I'm not gonna do a favorite games of the year list because as a more open-minded person who actually likes a lot of games for different reasons,I was thinking of doing semi reviews of the games I have played this year to round it all off.

100

orangeyoshidude30.bsky.social @orangeyoshidude30.bsky.social · 10/11/2024
