That was how I felt after we went to see Project: Hail Mary - i cannot abide people talking in the theater, asking “what’s he doing?” Or a “did you see that?” Like yes we are all watching the movie, shhhhh

‘Enchanted Ivy’ feels like ‘Ugly Gryphon Inn’ and ‘Yazeba’s Bed & Breakfast’ had a baby together and I am here for it.

I'm TRYING to be open minded. The only training I did enjoy talked about accessibility, which things like customers that don't speak English or low-vision customers who can't read our shelves... those were interesting. But using it for research...or write an email? No.

Every time I watch a 'how to use AI in libraries' training, I am never convinced of anything. Our jobs are about human connection. And trainers are all like "it can summarize the book for you!" and like...I don't read books for my job, I connect people to resources.

I discovered @scenefour.bsky.social on TikTok and even though I had barely played TTRPGs, I loved listening to him talk about in a way that proved they were more than just dice and numbers. I still don't have a rpg group (stupid adult schedules) but STILL stop and watch every video he posts.

And by the way, from our scoop, we also discovered that Anthropic is also using human reviewers to read conversations.

Had a lovely chat with a library customer on Friday after she commented that she likes my branch because someone keeps putting @tkingfisher.com on the recommendation display. I was like “IT WAS ME!!!” and we fangirled for a bit. Moments like that make me love my job.

So for the past 2 years at PAXU I have purchased a game you designed so seems like this will be the year 3 purchase 🤣🤣 which will make it tradition

Signed up for CrunchyRoll because I was tired of waiting for season 2 of Frieren. Send me good new anime series to add to my watchlist.

We are going to say goodbye to Apollo kitty tomorrow...it's been a long day of contemplation and tears, but it is time. More tears tomorrow, but I know this is the right thing to do.

Such good choices!!! Love Final Girl, even though I lose more than I win 🤣

I finally played 'Clank! In Space' and I am SO UPSET because it is just different enough from original Clank and Catacombs that I want it for my collection... 😅

I put in a request for my library to buy Sam Neill's autobiography audiobook and they did but now I'm scared I will just end up crying at the end. He reads it. I'll be sure to have a Murderbot queued up to distract me afterwards.

Delusion is probably best lol

Is there a word for that time betweenafter you send off a games to sell but before you get an offer and you’re wondering if you should keep the games

I said this while rambling on another app and someone commented that it was because mice have so many children and they didn't want them to be from broken homes.

orangerful @orangerful.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

If I had a nickel for every board game with anthropomorphic animals with a husband/wife combo of mice...I'd have 2 nickels, but it is weird that it happened twice, right? Everdell and Harvest.

SUCH A GOOD GAME - everything about it is 10/10! It's been too long since I played...
