I think the issue of random encounters is that they're a bit archaic now. Not bad but dated in such a way that a lot of people are repulsed at the thought of it them. I much prefer battles like in Paper Mario, but Octopath Traveler is a great example of Random Encounter done right.

Started playing a Mario Kart World again, and I never realized how really fun and good the camera mode is. I think it can be used as a really nice tool to learn how to take photos, and it makes it easy to get a good grasp on the rule of thirds.

Honestly, a lot of these apps are just poorly optimized or contain additional hidden data that the stores they're on have to comply with. There's a lot of unrelated data that is stored in the apps that just bloat them. Wouldn't be surprised if it's additional data to sell to other apps for ads.

I'll admit it, I was wrong about Super Mario Odyssey, I think it's a fantastic game and there's a lot of love and beauty in it! Finished it tonight, did a little post game and I think I'm gonna aim to 100% complete it. I'm excited to see where this goes~! 🎨: @efextex.bsky.social 💕
