In honour of Save the Rhino day, we want to share some exciting news from Somkhanda Game Reserve… Through camera trapping, Wildlife ACT have confirmed the birth of a new male Black Rhino calf, estimated to have been born in December 2024. 🦏 Incredible news for this critically endangered species!

New paper out highlighting the threat tropical storms pose to global island biodiversity. It shows the Caribbean especially has many species likely to be at risk of extinction from storms, and identifies 60 'high-risk' species that could be wiped by a single future storm event: shorturl.at/EAqOS

As Today is Save the Frogs Day, we wanted to spread awareness of the deadly chytrid fungus.🦠 This aggressive pathogen is a major threat to amphibians worldwide as it attacks the skin of the infected host.🐸 Washing muddy shoes and equipment before travelling is a good way to reduce it's spread! 🥾🧼
