Quick update on why I've not been releasing much lately. It hopefully won't be long before I return to a work-rate similar to a couple of years ago. 👍🏼 #MusicProducer #Synthwave #Retrowave #AmbientMusic #Composer

Today's #fieldrecording trip focused on bridges, tunnels, trains, woodland, and meadows. #ambientmusic #sounddesign #musicproduction #mondayvibes

Spent the afternoon down at the seafront, recording the sound of boats resting in the harbour, their ropes gently creeking as they moved in the breeze. Also recorded the wind whistling through the ropes & pulleys of some small sail boats. Rather tranquil and lovely. #ambientmusic #sounddesign

Slowly getting there. A little more wiring and lots of tidying to do. Should be up and running by the weekend.

I'm a Brit who's never been to New York, but today's news seems very positive, so have a celebratory gif.

When undertaking an album or EP, I usually hit some unforeseen snags along the way. It's no big deal; just some problems to solve, etc. I just finished a large project however, without any unexpected snags & it all came together a little too easily. Makes me nervous I've overlooked something 🤔

Five years ago today, I released Ambient Time. I didn't know it at the time, but it was one of my most significant releases, racking up millions of streams on YouTube & Spotify, bringing in new listeners & sending me on a journey of lots more #AmbientMusic. #AdventureTime #OTD

In a hotel room at #Haneda airport overlooking the Tama river and parts of #Tokyo. Thought I'd grab some footage & attempt to compose some music to accompany it once I'm home. It might make for a nice audio-visual experience. #Japan #Composer #Musicianlife

Back at the in-laws' place in Ota today. The weather was pretty foul, but I managed to get a few decent pics of the cherry tree lined water way near their house. #cherryblossom #cherryblossoms #sakura #さくら

Saw a 140ft tall Goddess of Mercy today. It was very impressive. There was also some nice cherry blossom, although it was still a day or two from full bloom. #cherryblossom #sakura #japan #さくら

My in-laws live in Gunma, renowned for its hot-spring towns and resorts. It's home to this most iconic of Onsen, as it's believed to have been a strong influence on the visual design of the bath-house in Spirited Away. We were in the area so popped by today for a look. #spiritedaway #studioghibli

Bad weather still keeping the full plumage at bay, but it's slowly getting there. Visited a castle in a neighbouring town today. Very picturesque. #sakura #cherryblossom #さくら

Found the most amazing, authentic bit of 80s, vaporwave aesthetic at a hotel in Kawaguchi, near Mount Fuji today. Sadly the pool was closed, so I had to settle for this photo through the window. Would have loved to get a closer look.
