Nothing sells a monopoly like an apocalypse. I call bullshit on OpenAI and Anthropic using the threat of extinction to sell us rules that could price their competition out. Big Tech has a huge financial interest in a world where we all rent intelligence from them forever.

I joined a migrant rights protest in Toronto this weekend. I spoke to farm workers, healthcare workers and construction workers. People who made enormous sacrifices to come to Canada hoping to build a safer life. Some of what they told me was hard to hear.
