the best part of writing post-war soundstar is making up situations they were in/moments they shared during the war

What in the Pit had they been arguing about, the loss of Kalis? The first destruction of Darkmount? Whatever the catalyst, they'd been yelling at each other, Soundwave's voice coder fraying at the edges due to the volume of his voice, and Starscream can't remember what he said but recalls how close their faces had been down to the millimeter, the awful, heady roar of their fans, Soundwave's fist tight around his forearm and Starscream's claws deep into his elbows, and then Soundwave replied with some monosyllabic, scathing insult and Starscream got right in his face and snarled something real low and real slow against the cold metal of his mask.

It was difficult to tell how long they stood like that. Starscream felt his spark spinning wildly, frame itching for something that he tried to look for in the deep red of Soundwave's visor but failed to find. His vents came out laboriously—there was too much heat in his frame, he could do little more than pant, fogging up the gray metal of Soundwave's mask. Once he noticed it, Starscream couldn't look away, something mesmerizing about the build in condensation, the wet look of it. His scarlet optics bore holes into it and and Soundwave squeezed his forearm once, hard.

Starscream's optics snapped up, wide. Realizing. He knew the red in his gaze was almost entirely engulfed by white, overbright and ravenous.

But Soundwave only shut his fans off abruptly, ridiculously—something squeaked!—and let go of Starscream in one smooth motion, dislodging his sharp claws and leaving the room like a ghost.

That whole thing had told Starscream little, but something nonetheless. Mere attraction wasn't enough for dear old Soundwave—he wouldn't bed a mech he didn't like.

today marks 52 years since the dictatorship ended here! had a wonderful day with a friend and we went to the celebrations for a bit as well. “e se abril ficar distante/ desta terra e deste povo/ a nossa força é bastante/ para fazer um abril novo” ❤️

Text transcription: "They are available," Optimus Prime said slowly, trying to gauge what kind of angle Soundwave was working on. For maybe the first time in his entire functioning, the answer was none. "But Hook asked for Thundercracker specifically, and we saw no reason not to heed his request." A pause, a long beat as he observed Soundwave. "Does that shock you?"

Shock him? Soundwave wanted to laugh. It wouldn't be a happy sound, or even pleasant, but it might help him alleviate some of the strain in his components. No, Soundwave was not shocked that Hook had asked for Thundercracker; he was a familiar face in enemy territory, and someone that the Constructicons had liked while they were on the same side. Thundercracker was the type of mech one wanted on their side, if not for practical reasons (having an Autobot vouch for them could prove helpful in the long-run), then for emotional ones. He was familiar and kind. In a place offering only glares, a smile. In an unknown path, the echo of a memory. In the midst of icy, icy isolation—

His servos were shaking so hard they were nearly rattling. Soundwave closed them into tight fists and ignored how that spark of warmth brought forth caresses over light blue plating and digits intertwined.

Soundwave, in another life, would have asked for Thundercracker as well. He had not known that was an option—and, for him, perhaps it was not.

Prowl started hard, but his gaze remained incandescent. His optics trailed the path the other boy’s hand was carving over Jazz’s plating like it was the assurance of an Autobot victory. “Will you run if I do?”
Aw, that’s—a good question, actually. Jazz is real good at running, big fan of it too. He can’t think of why right now, though.
“Nah,” Jazz said. He tilted his head. “You gonna hide if I let you?”
