Little Archibald animation doodle from this evening. I love my little slime guy.

Hanging out at a party with friends, getting used to drawing in my traveler's notebook. The sketchbook paper is probably my favorite so far, as my brush and white gel pens interact nicely with it.

Two NPCs from the TTRPG campaign I run.

On the left is a taller woman with horns and full arm gauntlets. She has her dark hair in a bun with her hand on her best friend's shoulder.

On the right is an average sized person with wings extended from the sides of their head to cover their face. They have a long sleeve sweater on that covers up to their forewings which are oriented downwards.

Various bust, upper body, and eye sketches of one of my NPCs. Each tries out different designs and stylizations.

She has her dark hair in a bun, long, dangling earrings, horns that have a slight curl upwards, and wears a black mesh turtleneck.

I'm still loving my little puddle slime friend I got at Soonercon. When the present horrors begin to creep back into view, I can just look down and think, "Well, at least cute things still exist."

A puddle slime from the Slime Rancher series hanging off of a keychain on my Face 2 Face Tour bag. He's just a little guy. Just a little dude.

The horrors can't hurt you if you're full of whimsy.

This page where I was going to journal about "Latercon" at Soonercon perfectly summarizes how that night went.

A page from my traveler's notebook that has a sticker of Napstablook in the tip left corner along with a list of all of my "loot" from the weekend.

There is a space to begin journaling about the "Latercon" activities that are for adults after 7pm with a caption that says "Degenerate Time."

The section after it is completely blank, which is almost a better way to describe it than anything I could have written.

Made a comic for #makeaterriblecomicday2025! This idea made me shoot up out of bed at 3am to board it - now it lives in its own strip and, at last, I can sleep.

Panel 1 - A small hand pushes a library card on a counter. The library card has a picture and the name "Cyle" prominently displayed on it.

Panel 2 - The librarian at the counter picks up the card, reading out the name, "Cyle?"

"Like Kyle but with a 'C'." the owner of the library card replies.

Panel 3 - The librarian now looking down to address the owner of the card, who is covered by a hat, large scarf, and baggy clothing that obscures all features but their eyes. "That's what I said..."

"No you didn't..." the small, bundled Cyle replies.

Panel 4 - Both the librarian and Cyle look to the reader of this comic, the person who is truly responsible for possibly mispronouncing Cyle's name.

The strip's title, 'With a C', is written in the bottom left corner of the strip. Cryptcom, the name of the series, is written in the bottom right corner of the strip with my signature.

... This is such a bad, meta comic joke - please laugh.

A dramatic telling of my day in which I spent zero of it cleaning or eating like I originally planned, opting to draw all day instead.

The art mines called and I answered

And then got lost halfway through them and covered in ink

I am an art gremlin that uses the map of my daily plans as a blot towel

I am an orchestrator of chaos and nothing else

I finished up my first attempt at a 4 wire braid! I used 22 gauge copper wires, so it is pretty flexible, but the whole band of it feels stable. I might try a thicker wire with my next attempt!

A close-up of a copper wires braid using 4 pieces of wire. The wire gauge - a term used to describe the diameter of the wire - used here is 22, making the braid itself very thin and flexible.

A zoomed out picture of the copper wires braid showing one of the ends of the braid.

Variation in braid width and tension can be seen better at this perspective, showing my learning process while making this braid.

I've been writing more often lately Thinking a lot about how I live my day to day life Just like everyone else TW/ stalking, trauma, femme experience

A poem titled "Walk Like Everyone Else"

When I go out at night
I get ready in the same way everyone does

I grab my jacket
To hide my body shape

I take off my glasses chain
To make sure there's less to grab

I check my pepper spray
To make sure it is accessible

As my pockets jingle
I begin to walk

The sound of my loose house key
Divorced from my usual lanyard
The one with my Pride and MLK Jr pins
Safe back at home

My small keychain alarm bounces around
Situated in a small pocket
Where it won't fall out
Even when running

I walk to the 7-11
And pray that my pockets stay undisturbed
Though my mind itself isn't
Like everyone else

I decided to draw outside for a bit and had a bird friend come check me out on the deck. I don't know how long they were there before I looked up from my work, but they stuck around and hung out for a bit before flitting over to a nearby tree.

A short comic strip drawn on the back of a purple note card.

The first panel to the far left of the note card shows a person with glasses and a button-up shirt, their hair pulled back into a ponytail, drawing on a large sketchbook at a table outside. The table has several art supplies on it, including sharpeners, markers, and a metal case with more pencils.

The next panel to the right is floating in between the first panel and the last panel, encompassing the negative space between them. It depicts the person looking up with cheerful surprise as they pause their sketching.

The last panel extends around the rest of the notecard, showing the scene the person is looking up at from their work. A small bird is prominently featured, resting on a wooden railing, looking back at the person.

In the bottom left of the last panel, extending out of the bottom left of the notecard, we see a tree with leaves blowing towards the scene, framing the date and a signature.

I've been storyboarding some scenes lately from the RPG campaign I run and decided to work on some backstory comics for a group of NPCs that my players see pretty often. I am probably having too much fun with it though.

A sketchy panel of a character with pointy ears and curly hair holding a stack of papers as she reads.

The word balloon to her right reads as "Fuck!" as I edited out the actual text to make this joke. Like a dork.

Another character from the RPG campaign I run bi-weekly. Obnoxious pretty boy walking your way... ✨🎤

An illustration from the neck up of a smiling character sporting a cocky smile. He has bouncy, curly orange hair with dark, warm eyes. Glasses sit on the bridge of his nose, but he has no ears to support them curiously enough.
The golden skin tone paired with non-human features hint at him being a different kind of being entirely.

Work in progress of the aforementioned obnoxious pretty boy.
This time, he looks at something to his left (our right) softly with a smile and raised, brows - almost as if he's worried for once.
The illustration's draft is done in a darker red, orange, and yellow, used to highlight the wild curls in his hair and double leaf pin that sits on one side of his jacket's collar.

I've been trying to figure out better ways to protect my art lately, which has led me to not post a lot of what I've been working on the past few months :( I finally found a decent solution and I now feel comfortable enough to start posting work again... So... Have some art!

I had a friend of mine post about an MTG alter set I did for them 2 years ago that I had completely forgotten about. They commissioned me to make proxies of the Power 9 set for their Canlander decks - the really cool part? Only use markers. So here's part of the set, using Poscas and Sharpies!

A set of Magic: The Gathering card alters, featuring proxies of 8 of the Power 9 cards.

Each card has a reference to the iconic art in which it is known for, done in Posca markers and Sharpie only.

I have a sign that I made for my roommate and I to be able to tell each other that we're brewing coffee, as it can be hard to tell (we just keep our French presses on the counter like the unorganized gremlins we are). I'm surprised that the front part of the sign has held up this long.

Coffee brews in a French press in the bottom left corner of the image, as a salmon pink sign with the words "Active Coffee Within" written in purple Posca marker sits atop a small coffee grinder to the right.
There is a small illustration of a coffee mug filled with eyeballs that look startled to the bottom left of the sign.

I've been watching a friend of mine play Voice of the Void lately and decided that it was time to draw Kerfur-O and him together. I still can't get over how tall Kerfur-O is in comparison to the player model - but he's the best tall, sweet boy. #votv #Kerfur-O #voiceofthevoid #fanart

Kerfur-O stands happily to the left of the player, nearly a head and a half taller than them.

Kerfur-O is the more lanky version of Kerfur, sporting limbs with joints. They also look quite cheery, with flower emotes coming from their head.

The player stands to the right of Kerfur-O and is wearing a similar outfit to what my friend wears - a beanie with a hoodie. They look somewhat apprehensive about the height difference between them.

Finishing some evening sketches while starting The Adventure Zone podcast. I have the first graphic novel of the podcast series and have heard some episodes here and there, but I figured it was about time to actually listen to all of it.

Blue and black colored pencil sketches of various figures and faces.

The figure outlined in black brush pen and black colored pencil looks youthful while carrying a roll of colored pencils - in comparison, the faces in blue colored pencil look to be older with various expressions and facial features.

Icon vs Artist I haven't gotten a haircut in a while... 😅 I also finally got glasses to help with the light sensitivity I've had for years now, and they have been an absolute game changer.

An illustration of a person in a dress shirt and sweater made with blue colored pencil and watercolor.

They have short hair and glasses with a simple glasses chain while they look down into their coffee mug, which is filled with inquisitive eyeballs.

Picture of the dork in question, who has round, rose-tinted glasses, a copper glasses chain, and short brown hair pulled back into a ponytail.

There are posters of Ghost Pokemon and original comic work in the background.

QRP with your flags! There were a few transmasculine flags to choose from, but I really like the feel of this one a lot. 💙

An image of a transmasculine pride flag, with pink stripes on the outsides, and varying shades of lighter blue stripes on the insides.

My favorite sketches from today's figure study session

Figure study of a young person standing with a curly pompadour wrapped in a thin cloth. They have a prosthetic right leg (viewer's left) that is posed outside of the draped cloth.

The head of a ballet dancer tilted up and to the right (viewer's left) with the underside of their jaw exposed. They sport a sheer covering with a tank top beneath.

A ballet dancer with their back straightened, supporting the weight of another dancer.

Three-fourths quarter view of a young person's face with short microlocs and a filigree leafed wrap around ear cuff. Their expression is relaxed and soft.

This is possibly one of the deadliest aviation disasters in 20+ years for the US - the focus should be on the incompetence of military leaders and giving support to grieving families, not spouting nonsensical claims to further your political agenda. This is beyond shameful.
