"Framework" semantics get in the way of progress way too much with React and I'm really tired of the "you must be this tall" narative from react.dev. Tools that drastically aid you to be productive with React deserve a seat at the table. Vite is just the obvious start among many other tools.

I feel your fear of having to setup an entirely different dev environment on a completely different os. Although I’m a self proclaimed expert on the matter as I work with all major operating systems, so I’m around if you need any help. Also use windows 10 and please avoid w11 if you can.

It’s better for your sanity to simply get a windows laptop. Avoid laptops with NVIDIA gpus to avoid issues with Linux.

The business caters to the customers and if most customers don’t want to be recorded then the business stands to lose those customers if they allow recording. A business needs the customer’s money to survive. So what do you think they’re gonna do? Privacy concerns are more important than ig likes.
